Make sure you get your tickets for this Sunday’s
Thanksgiving Dinner at Glenn Middle School
cafeteria. This is always a wonderful time to enjoy
a meal together as a church family and be
reminded about God’s blessings in our lives. Cindy
Hickey, our administrative assistant, will treat us
to some special music during the dinner.

Enjoy...
As we get into the Thanksgiving
and Christmas season, we are
normally bombarded with so many
different demands on our time.
Learn to enjoy your family and
friends at a leisurely pace, not
jumping from one activity to
another. Treasure the alone time
you can have with the Lord. Always remember that God is the
object of our thanksgiving, and He is the main character in
Christmas. The world can commercialize or trivialize Christ but
you do not have to be pulled into their antics by reacting to
them. Do not be upset when people tell you “Happy Holiday!”
Just smile, thank them, and pray for them.
We cannot argue with the world Christ's importance; we
just need to live and enjoy Him and pray for those who do not
understand and do not know Him. We are not after winning a
debate; we are after winning converts. And we should know by
now that God is the one who does the converting. We simply
and happily proclaim the message of the Good News. It is sad
but understandable when the world does not see Christ; it is
incomprehensible and a tragedy when believers ignore Him.
So, relax and enjoy the Lord. And enjoy all His blessings!
“I ask him, our Father, to strengthen you by his Spirit—not a
brute strength but a glorious inner strength—that Christ will be
at home in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I
ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able
to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions
of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its
length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full
in the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:16-19)

Our AWANA clubs need our help collect-ing new or gently used items for the AWANA store. Several times a year, stu-dents are allowed to “buy” items from the store with “shares” they earn by completing sections in their workbooks and memorizing scriptures. The first Wednesday in December, they have their Christmas store and are encour-aged to purchase gifts for all their family members and friends. There are collec-tion boxes in the foyer and in the office hallway. If you have any questions, please contact Vickie LeWallen (895-0330) or the church office.
We will present our Christmas Musical “Signs of Christmas” on Sunday evening, December 16th at 5PM in the sanctuary. Afterwards we will enjoy a time of good food and fun
in the Fellowship Hall with our families and friends! Come and bring your favorite Christmas sweets to share with everyone. The church will supply the drinks, etc.
