We are here today to tell you about a

new thriller film that we are in the process

of producing entitled ‘The Meeting’. We

that we want our film to connotate also.

The entire film revolves around the protagonist, James Stone, and presents the audience with a transition in lifestyle. We start with James being married to his wife for just after a month and so, they are truly in love and are content in their relationship, however when financial stress hangs over James’ head, he contacts an old friend in the hope that they have a solution. His friend who remains anonymous gives James details of a new government corporation who obtain top secret information for money.

As the corporation is still in its early stages, the process of giving information and paying the person who gives it has not been fully organised, furthermore when information is divulged, it takes place in a secret and secure location so that the corporation remains a secret. James’ friend knows the founder of the corporation and sets up an interview for James. Katherine remains unaware of any of this which James has done deliberately as to avoid scaring her and provoking anxiety.

In the interview, James is told that the job he is signing up for is dangerous and that he will be at constant risk as soon as he is recruited. James gets the job and attends secret meetings two or three times a week before Katherine finds out. She is outraged at the news despite James’ best efforts to assure her that he is only doing the job to stabilise their finances. She says that he is only allowed one more meeting which he accepts.

However, when he attends this meeting, he and his colleagues are ambushed by heavy gunfire and James is the only survivor. Because the meeting was a failure, it is rescheduled and James keeps Katherine in the dark. He wakes up early in the morning and tries to sneak out, however Katherine wakes up and scurries downstairs just as he is about to leaves, trying hard to convince him not to go. James’ consequences are in his own hands.

The film will be rated 15 as it contains strong violence and strong language but no so strong that it meets the 18 criteria. There are some complicated themes and elements of strong threat and negotiation which is similar to a gangster theme. This is deemed as appropriate content for a 15 rating by the BBFC.

We are aiming to attract a target audience that consists of males aged 15 and over however, there is a female appeal because of the character of Katherine who is a relatable character and will attract additional audiences.

The first scene of the movie is the end and so, in the first two minutes we see James wake up very early and get ready for the meeting that was rearranged because of the ambush. Just as James is about to leave, Katherine hurries down and tries her very best to persuade him not to go but he leaves anyway with her best interests at heart.

We see him walking outside looking wary and cautious, almost unsure of why he is doing what he is doing.

He arrives at a secret location and is greeted by a hooded figure whose face we only see parts of. Will the final meeting go according to plan?
