Volunteers are needed for the following activities during the months noted. If you are interested in sharing your talents, for these particular events please contact stmaryelyria@aol and your name will be given to the various committee chairs.

If there is a need for volunteers for your group or committee, please contact Angie Pluta at 323-5539 ext. 224 and that information will be added to the Volunteer Corner.

Your commitment to volunteer this year is essential in helping all at St. Mary Parish.

times especially CeCe, Doug, Ed, Elaine, Eli, George, Gordon, Jade, Janet, Jolanta, Kelly, Linda, Lois Ann, Luke, Mark, Mary, Megan, Sandi, Tess, Tom and all who have asked for our prayers.

Hot Meals Our Parish will be serving dinner Sunday, January 13 from 5-6 pm in the Cafeteria. Volunteers are always appreciated to serve or help with preparation at 3 pm. Thank you.

...and Jesus said...Feed the hungry… We will deliver dinner to St. Elizabeth Center in Lorain on Saturday, January 19. If you would like to participate you may do so by furnishing a pasta with meat dish, salad, rolls/bread or dessert. I also need a driver to take the meal from my home to St. Eliza-beth’s. Please call Maryann at 440-458-6159 by Wednesday, January 16. Thank you!

6th Grade Boys Basketball The 6th grade boys basketball team played in the Candy Cane Tournament sponsored by Holy Trinity. They won the championship on Saturday, January 5th with a record of 5-0. They competed against teams from Lorain and Cuyahoga Counties. Overall the team has a record of 11-0.

Making Candy Members of the Junior National Honor Society came to school on one of their Christmas vacation days to make candy that they are going to sell for Valentine’s Day. They enjoyed making the various kinds of chocolates mixed with nuts, raisins, coconut, and krispies. The candy will go on sale February 2 & 3 after Masses just in time to get your sweetheart that special something!
