2. It demonstrates to the parent, the teacher and/or the tutor with simplicity and precision, the instructional procedure (to be) used when administering the program.

3. It may be used to actually tutor the student with the most outstanding results - with minimal assistance from parent or teacher.

The technology component consists of the following:

Interactive Master Index screen displays all of the technology components of the program. They may be accessed by simply clicking on that component. The components are:Lesson IndexUnit ReviewWord RecognitionTalking Book

Interactive Lesson Index displays the menu for all of the lessons in the unit. Lessons may be accessed by simply clicking on the letter highlighted in that lesson (i.e. hard [c], soft [c], [f] sound etc.) These lessons may be selected in sequence or as needed and at the discretion of the parent, teacher or tutor.

These lessons are always followed by age-appropriate writing activities to reinforce what has been taught.

Interactive Unit Review: a simple left-click gives student access to a full review of every letter in the unit and its corresponding sound, every word in

the unit with the correct pronunciation, and every sentence in the unit is read fluently with and with appropriate inflexions. This interactive unit review provides ample reading practice so student may gain the confidence needed to be successful

with the reading process.

Interactive Word Recognition allows student to verify whether or not he/she has mastered the vocabulary in the unit, or if additional practice is

needed. A simple left-click on each word and the student can hear the word pronounced correctly as many times as necessary until automaticity (mastery) is achieved. Student may return to interactive lesson index to review any part of any lesson at anytime.

each page of the illustrated booklet electronically by clicking on the edge of each page. The student may then read the page or have the computer read the page to him. Letter-by-letter, sound-by-sound, word-by-word and sentence-by-sentence, student confidence and performance will soar. Student experiences what real reading sounds and feels like.
