The Light of the World(8:12-30)

Psalm 27:1• The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom

shall I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?

Psalm 36:7-8• How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And

the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. They drink their fill of the abundance of Your house; And You give them to drink of the river of Your delights

Psalm 104:1-2

• Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, You are very great; You are clothed with splendor and majesty, Covering Yourself with light as with a cloak, Stretching out heaven like a tent curtain.

Isaiah 60:19-20

• "No longer will you have the sun for light by day, Nor for brightness will the moon give you light; But you will have the LORD for an everlasting light, And your God for your glory. Ezekial 1:27-28

JOHN 8:13-20• …I am the one who bears witness about myself,

and the Father who sent me bears witness about me." They said to him therefore, "Where is your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also." These words he spoke in the treasury, as he taught in the temple; but no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.

JOHN 8:21• Then He said again to them, "I go away, and you

will seek Me, and will die in your sin; where I am going, you cannot come."

Mark 9:43-48• And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is

better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into hell. And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell, 'where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.'

JOHN 8:24, 28• "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your

sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.“…So Jesus said, "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me.

Matthew 25:41

• Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels

2 Peter 3:16• (referring to PAUL) He writes the same way in all

his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction
