The Laser & Dermatologic Surgery Center The Laser & Dermatologic Surgery Center specializes in Mohs surgery, laser procedures, and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures. The location includes a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center, med-spa, and Mohs surgery suite. Mohs surgery is an advanced treatment for skin cancer that provides the highest cure rate with minimal sacrifice of normal skin. The center offers a wide variety of cosmetic procedures. Fillers are used for enhancing lips, filling in wrinkles, plumping cheeks, and rejuvenating hands. Lasers remove unwanted hair; reduce acne scars; improve skin texture; fade tattoos, age spots, blood vessels, and birthmarks; and tighten sun-damaged skin. Hruza, is a clinical professor of dermatology at Saint Louis University and has been on the Best Doctors list for more than a decade. He has written more than 135 scientific medical papers, as well as two textbooks on laser surgery. He earned his medical degree at the top of his class at New York University, completing his dermatology residency there as well. This was followed by a laser surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School and a Mohs surgery fellowship at the University of Wisconsin under Dr. Fred Mohs, inventor of the Mohs technique. He is past president of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and current vice president of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Ramona Behshad recently joined the practice after completing her Mohs surgery fellowship with Dr. Hruza in 2012. She trained in dermatology at University Hospitals/Case Medical Center after graduating from medical school from Case Western Reserve University, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her undergraduate work, earning Phi Beta Kappa honors, at the same institution. She has published in the top dermatology journals and has performed research on cancer and immunology with support from the nation’s top research institutions.
