HOW TO USE THE IXTHYS LETTER

1. Check the IXTHYS Market Direction Indicator™ (MDI) and Market Commentary sections so you

know what kind of market we are currently in. Any change in the MDI signal between monthly

updates will be emailed to subscribers.

2. Read the instructions given with The IXTHYS Portfolio™ which are based on the current MDI

signal. Adjust your current holdings accordingly. If you are new to The IXTHYS Letter, consider

buying one or more of the holdings in The IXTHYS Letter as directed (those with a “Buy” rating).

Consider adding to any IXTHYS Portfolio companies you already own that have a “buy” rating and

selling any that have a “Sell” rating. Note that we hold up to 18 positions in The IXTHYS

Portfolio™, depending on market conditions, so determine your position size on this basis.

Position Type: Growth-IPO

Business Profile: Floor & Décor operates as a specialty retailer of flooring products and related product for residential

and commercial buildings. The company’s stores sell indoor and outdoor tile, wood, laminate and natural stone flooring

as well as decorative accessories. It sells both to commercial contractors and private homeo0wners. It operates 72 stores

in 17 states. The company was founded in 2000, went public in April this year, and is based in Atlanta-area, Georgia. This

is primarily a growth play on the expansion of new home construction and the move from soft to hard flooring product.

Fundamental Analysis: Shares of FND trade at a P/Sales under 3, on net income of $0.49/share last year, and a

projected $0.69/share this year. EPS growth and Revenues growth numbers are all very strong, ranging from +27% to

+60% for sales and income growth over the past several years and projected forward. Shares have been under strong

accumulation since the launch in April and have earned a composite rating of 93/100 on IBD. The stop is listed in its “IPO

Leaders” list at number 5 spot. The company sources locally whenever possible and has a strict code of social

responsibility applied to their supply chain of vendors.

Technical Analysis: The stock has performed very well in its 5 weeks of trading, opening near $30 and now trading over

30% higher. Shares recently peaked at $43 but we are looking to buy this 8% pullback to the $40 level prior to a new IPO

high breakout.
