ICFAI was established in 1984 as a not-for-profit society with the broad objective of empowering citizens through world class quality education. The Institute announced its arrival into the Indian education fora by launching a high end, innovative professional program in financial analysis in 1985. The Program was first-of-its-kind in India, aimed at equipping students and working professionals with cutting-edge knowledge in contemporary areas of finance. Since its establishment, ICFAI Group has made a significant mark in the Indian educational field with a pan-Indian network and presence.

Innovation has been the mainstay of ICFAI Group with innovation prevalent in its programs and even its culture. Subsequently, there was a big leap when ICFAI Group started its chain of business schools (IBS) across India in 1995 to offer management program. Since its inception, IBS has been consistently ranked among the top ranked B-Schools of India providing excellent academic delivery and infrastructure to its students and transforming them into leaders for the future.

Another example that is a testimony to the culture of innovation is the introduction of Case Study methodology at IBS. The Case Research Center at IBS, has become a center of excellence and has won several accolades across the world.

ICFAI Group has 2 Strategic Institutional Units, the ICFAI Universities and the ICFAI Business Schools. In all the programs offered across these units, the emphasis is on adherence to academic rigor and differentiated curriculum that bridges the industry – academia gap.

ICFAI Group focuses on learning rather than instruction. In addition, the institute is engaged in

important areas of research covering environmental sustainability, agricultural economics, health policy, financial economics, banking, intellectual property rights etc. There have been path-breaking research and good quality publications in these areas.

Flexible and tech enabled learning also plays an important role in ICFAI’s teaching methodology. The delivery takes place with the use of hi-tech learning management system at campus programs and content delivery for distance learning through online medium.

Learning is a continuous process. And the role of effective communication

is vital in it. Be it while acquiring knowledge or applying the same in work,

education is always incomplete without a good command over communication

skills. The ICFAI University, Tripura understands its importance and so thrives

to deliver the best practice sessions to its students, especially in soft skills apart

from the regular text book knowledge. Also, we believe that exposure to

practical field is a must to build any person to be capable to call oneself ready

for the real industry world. That is the reason behind the incorporation of three

internship modules, two each of two months pursued during the semester

breaks and one of six months during the final semester, in the curriculum apart

from the various industry visits, seminars and workshops that is held at short

intervals. The curriculum also allows students to take up live projects in lieu

of any one elective subject if they wish in their final year of study. To help our

students discover their potential, we at ICFAI University, Tripura encourage

our students to involve themselves in various extracurricular activities, both

inside as well as outside the campus. This collective endeavour has helped our

students to be not only diligent and sincere workers but also good managers.

The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Tripura was established under the provisions of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Tripura Act 2004 enacted by legislative Assembly of Tripura State and notified vide Notification No F.2 (529)-DHE/UDCA/2003 of the Government of Tripura dated June 15,2004. The University has been approved by the University Grants Commission, under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The University is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, London, the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi and the Federation of Universities, India.

The Campus:

The University Campus Tripura is located at Kamalghat, Mohanpur Tripura West. The campus is spread over an area of 32.2 acres. The facility has several buildings viz. administration, academic, state of the art laboratory and workshop, hostel with 600 occupancy for boys and girls students with a dining facility The hostel is also equipped with a medical centre, gymnasium, common room with TV & other recreational facilities like Soccer ground, volley ball & badminton courts for the students. The University has developed a well stocked library and computer centre with high speed internet connection for students.

Placement Cell:

The University looks after the placement activities on a full-time and continuous basis. Staffed by senior professionals, placement executives and a team of diligent students, the committee initiates and maintains the University-Industry dialogue and manages the summer internship program and final placement. The placement team evaluates student performance and ensures relevant preparation for their industry/corporate placements. The team plays the vital intermediary role of matching academic excellence and industry expectations.

Just like any other engineering aspirant, It was my dream to study in a college that will not only give in depth knowledge but also provide a solid platform on which we can build our career. ICFAI with its apt course curriculum and dedicated faculty & fine infrastructure, works in the right direction. After Joining Reserve Bank of India (RBI), many a times I have come across the question that how an engineering graduate like me ended up working in a Bank.To answer this particular question I always tell them that I believe that a person cant defy his destiny. May be it was my destiny to work in the pinnacle of Indian Banking System, i.e. RBI and having achieved this feat it will be injustice if I don t acknowledge the contribution of ICFAI University, Tripura in it. May be I will not find any use of my core engineering knowledge at my wok now, but ICFAI has also taught us something which will always be with us & help us in becoming a better human being.

Hello ICFAI University Tripura, Hope everyone is doing fine. I am Subhaji Debnath, MCA 2014 pass out.I completed BTech in Agricultural Engineering at NERIST, Arunachal Pradesh. I always had an interest towards computer programming. Then I decided no matter where I study I will get the best out of it as it is my favourite branch. I had all the programming and core CS subjects in course and I joined ICFAI University Tripura.
