Eyes!Eyes are an important part of the body. Eye

Eyes are delicate and precious as they are our window to the world.

Presbyopia Presbyopia is a condition in which the lens of
the eye loses its ability to focus. This makes it difficult to see objects up close.
Vision is blurred at normal distance. Eye strains and headaches while doing close
up work are common signs.Aging is a causative factor.
Allergic ConjunctivitisMost people get allergic conjunctivitis when
their eyes come into contact with an allergen - a substance which makes the body's immune system to overreact.
The eye becomes sore, inflamed and sometimes painful.
Symptoms: Red/pink eyes, pain in one or both eyes, itchiness, swollen eyelids and soreness.
Dry EyesDry Eyes occur when you don't naturally
produce enough tears to lubricate your eyes. It's very common among women in their late
30’s and early 40’s because of hormonal changes.
It can occur to those who spend long hours in front of the computer forgetting to blink.
Symptoms: A scratchy, gritty sensation. You may also have red eyes and blurred vision.
CataractCataract is a clouding of the lens of the eye. It
often leads to poor vision at night, especially while driving, due to glare from bright lights.
Cataracts are most common in older people, but can also occur in young adults and children (congenital).
Causes: Age, certain diseases like diabetes, smoking and alcohol use, too much exposure to sunlight.
How To Ensure Eye HealthEat greens: Including lots of leafy green
vegetables like spinach, collard greens and kale in the diet is beneficial.
Take vitamins: There are supplements made specifically for eye health.
Keep your eyes hydrated: A simple saline solution can help to lubricate and soothe eyes.
More SuggestionsEat apricots and blueberries: Blueberries are associated
with reduction of eye fatigue and apricots are rich in beta carotene and lycopene, both of which promote good vision.
Get plenty of Omega 3s : They help to clear eyesight and eye health.
Wear UV filtering sunglasses: Harmful UVA and UVB rays can be harmful to the eyes and contribute to cataracts.
Some More!Give your eyes a break. If you use computers or do
jobs which strain your eyes, take a break every 20 minutes.
Practise different eye exercises:-Look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. This
allows your eyes to refocus and relax, and prevents avoidable eye problems.
