Being an adjustable bed manufacturer, our beds are custom made. So if you have an awkward sized room, we can make you a bed that will fit perfectly.

2. Custom Height

If you have mobility issues, we can make a bed that is the perfect height for you. For example, the same height as your wheelchair.

3. Custom Mattresses

We are able to adjust the density of mattress to suit each user/s height/s and weight/s. This gives you the best possible comfort in the upper layer with the correct level of support in the lower layer and ensures you enjoy the maximum lifespan of your mattress.

4. No hard sell

This is a very competitive industry, with large commissions being paid out to sales reps, and believe us; we've heard some not very nice stories. If you would prefer us to visit you at home to demonstrate one of our adjustable beds, we would be more than happy to, however, we would like to assure you that we are not a ‘hard sell’ company and do not want to risk being tarred with the same brush as the 'hard sell rep'. We would simply demonstrate our products, answer any questions you may have and leave a copy of the quotation with you for your perusal. Alternatively, if you would prefer to visit our showroom, ‘The Care and Comfort Centre,’ which is situated above our workshop, we have a variety of adjustable beds you can try at your own leisure, in a relaxed, no-pressure environment. (Please note, home demonstrations are available within 50 to 100 miles from Essex) 5. No Sales Reps Unlike a lot of other bed and mattress companies, we do not employ sales reps. Our business comes from online enquiries and word-of-mouth, so we are able to maintain very competitive prices. We do not strive to be the cheapest, but the best value for money.

6. Extra long Guarantee

Your bed base surround and mattress/es will be guaranteed for ten years, as opposed to the industry standard of five years. This makes your investment even better value for money. Electrics are guaranteed for five years, as opposed to the industry standard of one year.

7. Longer Length Mechanisms

For the taller amongst us, for a small additional cost you can upgrade your bed to a longer length. (Either 6ft 10 or 7ft2 mattress length).

This base surround is suitable for users who wish to have separate mechanisms/frames and mattresses to suit their own individual needs, but still wish to have a divan style base surround.

Also available, is the option of choosing one mattress if the bed is required for one user only. The mechanisms/frames would be linked together to work from one handset.

(Right) is an image of an Abberley 3ft Single Deep Base Surround built in K.D form. This bed base surround, and headboard are upholstered in Cream Faux Suede. (Grab rail is a separate item priced at £195 each).

Why our Drawers are on Castors

In a quality bed, the drawers should be fixed to castors. Drawers manufactured this way, will be able to hold a much greater weight as they are supported from underneath, not on the sides.

Handsets Our adjustable beds are supplied with easy to use cabled handsets as standard. There is also the option to upgrade to our radio frequency handset which has all the same functions without the cable. (Often useful if you need to adjust the bed for your partner). The upgrade cost to a Radio frequency handset is £70 each.

No scuffed Walls Our beds are manufactured in KD Form. This is an extremely useful feature because it enables your bed to be carried around tight staircases, landings and tight corners. The majority of beds from mainstream stores are delivered all in one piece, which can cause many problems if you live in an older property, cottage, apartment etc. Also, you will not have to worry about scuffed paint or wallpaper, as our disassembled beds are very easy to manoeuvre. You can choose whether to assemble the bed yourself or we can do it for you (subject to delivery location).

Memory Foam Mattresses

• Our ‘Ultima 50kg’ mattress offers a soft to medium support, with a 50kg density memory foam upper layer. (Ideal for up to 15 stones).

• Our ‘Ultima 75kg’ mattress offers a medium to firm support, with a 75kg density memory foam upper layer. (Ideal for over 15 stones).

• Our ‘Viscolux’ Mattress is comprised of a 3-inch top layer of ViscoLux 75 hole punched for greater ventilation, and two layers of high resilient

polyurethane base foam incorporating the AirFlow™ system, supporting your body in its most comfortable position by reducing tossing and turning during your sleep. This mattress has a sprung feel without springs and is designed for users from 8 to 22 stones (and is most suited to users that perhaps struggle to turn in bed).

• Our ‘Ultra-Viscolux’ Mattress is comprised of a 1-inch Super Soft top

and a 3-inch top layer of ViscoLux 75 hole punched for greater ventilation, and two layers of high resilient polyurethane base foam incorporating the AirFlow™ system, supporting your body in its most comfortable position by reducing tossing and turning during your sleep. The Benefits of an Adjustable Bed Massage

An adjustable bed massage unit gives you the best possible chance of an energising, rejuvenating and uninterrupted night's sleep. Massage is known to have so many physical and emotional benefits, like soothing lower back pain and other aches, or relieving tension and stress. We went along to the show rooms and was attended to by Richard who gave us all the time we wished to decide what we wanted, being that my husband has Parkinsons these beds are Fantastic and it has made things a lot easier for us, we ordered a double bed with the two mattresses, we were told they would take approx 3 weeks and 3 weeks to the day they were delivered to us, they were assembled at home which took about half an hour, we are so pleased with the price and the service and we know that we would not have gotten that anywhere else. This is quite a remarkable bed. We bought it because we felt it suit our situation. To be honest, we've only had it a few days, so haven't fully utilised all the facilities, but that will come. We were very delighted at the professionalism of the fitter who brought it. We knew it would be a little difficult getting the mechanism up our narrow stairs, but it was accomplished without a mark or scratch on the walls, and that wasn't easy. So far there's nothing I don't like, albeit I'm still getting used to the controls. It's very high-tech! Deciding which special bed to buy for a disabled loved-one is not easy and making the right choice with so many on the market can be stressful. I am so pleased that I contacted Abberley Beds because I received comprehensive, experienced, caring and patient advice together with much-needed technical information in relation to durable raising mechanisms, the correct mattress and much more. No pushy sales techniques were involved at all. Product details, choices, delivery and payment information were all made clear. The bed was made to suit the individual patient's needs and comfort. delivery (to the north west) was exactly as promised. Bed is very new, but I have confidence already that I made the right choice. “Best bed ever”

I have had my bed for approximately one month. Cannot speak too highly of it. It is so comfortable and easy to use and have been able to have restful sleep for the first time for many months. Everything was done on line and all staff were most helpful especially the very experienced fitter. He arrived on time set the bed up seemingly with no problems and spent time in explaining the controls. I was most impressed from start to finish of this purchase and have no hesitation in recommend this product and service.

“Dreamy in all directions!”

We have waited for a month before writing this review so that we have reasonable experience of them. We are both delighted with them and would like to thank her for her excellent advice and service and the delivery person for his efficiency in delivery, set up and removal of our old bed without any knocking of walls or damage done anywhere. We find the beds extremely comfortable and they work perfectly in every direction. As a sufferer of ME I spend more time than many in bed so the top grade massage unit is well used plus I am sleeping much better than I have slept for several years.
