Congress spokesperson Gourav Vallabh said the government should also come out with a complete list of measures that it has undertaken to check the stashing of black money in foreign banks. The demand came after Switzerland's national bank -- Swiss National Bank (SNB) -- released data of funds parked in Swiss banks that showed that de- posits by Indians increased to 286 per cent in 2020, the highest in the last 13 years. Congress's chief spokesperson Randeep Sur- jewala also demanded an- swers from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his promise to bring back black money and shared a video of the PM before he as- sumed power. The committee for physical en- durance test shall be consti- tuted by SSB in consultation with the government and the number of people to be called for physical fitness test will be based on the pat- tern adopted by some states and Union Territories. The entire process for fitness test shall be duly video- graphed for the purpose of transparency. To address the long standing issues of seniority, hampering the career pro- gression of police officials at different levels, now a com- mon seniority of the SIs re- cruited against the direct re- cruitment vacancies in the armed and the executive wings through a combined examination will be main- tained for ensuring smooth career progression of the police officers. The announcement of re- cruitment of 800 SIs comes two days after the LG an- nounced that the UT ad- ministration is moving ahead in the direction of ex- pediting the process for re- cruitment of 25,000 promised jobs in the public sector and government de- partments to empower the youth of Jammu and Kash- mir.
