In 2012 THDP joined the Royal Institue of British Architects (RIBA) as CharteredArchitects. In December 2012 THDP opened a new studio in Royal Borough ofGreenwich, London. In 2014 The Albarella Capo Nord Hotel has been selectedfor the International Hotel and Property Awards.

BIOS:

Nicholas Hickson - British Furniture, lighting and interior designer, graduated atthe Loughborough College of Art and Design in England in 1984. He has beenworking for high profile interior design projects for international clients andproperty developers in the areas of Belgravia, Mayfair and Hampstead in Londonfor over twenty years, and has extensive experience with Hotel Interior Design .His diverse contemporary approach to traditional manufacturing ideas, combinedwith his attention to detail, delivers inspirational client led solutions.

Manuela Mannino - Italian Architect, graduated at the Turin Polytechnic in 1993.She has worked in product design, interior refurbishments and conversions forprivate clients. Working in London from 2000 on residential developmentsprojects Riverside Quarter and Albion Riverside and designing the interiors for thecontract design company CP Hart. She brings her contemporary eclecticapproach to projects, combined with her skills in design concept, to take care ofthe aesthetic link between architectural function and decorative details.Manuela is a tutor at Chelsea College of Arts in Hotel Interior Design since 2015.

The Hickson Design Partnership is a London & Turin Architecture andInterior Design practice specialising in Hospitality and High End ResidentialProjects. THDP was established in 2004 by Nicholas Hickson and ManuelaMannino. The studio has brought together some of Britain’s & Italy’s diversedesign talents to serve the most prestigious International clients.

THDP was created when Nicholas Hickson, Manuela Mannino werecommissioned in December 2004 to undertake the interior design for theOlympic Hotel Project ‘Pragelato Village Resort and Spa’ in Italy. The resortwas already partly under construction and was to be the only Five Star resortof its kind in the Italian Alps with its own Alpine Spa. The resort opened for theFebruary 2006 Turin Winter Olympics, and since then THDP have gone on todesign many other hotels and residential interiors.

THDP is a multidisciplinary company, equally comfortable engaging in theplanning, consulting, development and execution of both Interior andArchitectural projects. By providing customized solutions for clients favouring aprogressive approach, the company is not narrowly focused but aims to beflexible, able to react to changing markets and the very different demands theirdiverse client base.

THDP’s approach is one that eliminates the boundaries between ArchitectsDesigners and Artists, offering a diverse range of services to clients in majorhospitality businesses, developers and private clients. Our aim is to develop acreative partnership between the client and the designer.

THDP is responsible for ethical selection of suppliers and materials and directinvolvement in the quality and budget control and of the project through its life.
