BREAST AUGMENTATIONBreast enlargement /augmentation involves surgically inserting an implant behind the natural breast tissue to increase the size of your breasts.It is also a procedure that can be performed to reconstruct the breasts following mastectomy, to replace an existing implant due to medical or cosmetic reasons, and correction of a congenital deformity. It can also be performed to restore breast volume lost after weight reduction or pregnancy.

BREAST REDUCTION Women who undergo breast reduction surgery are frequently seeking relief from physical symptoms caused by the excessive weight of large breasts. Breast reduction usually can solve these problems as well as improve the size and shape of their breasts. Breast reduction surgery (reduction mammoplasty) removes excess fat and skin from the breasts to reduce their size. Women have breast reduction surgery for a variety of reasons such as particularly large breasts, which can cause a number of physical and psychological problems. BROW / FOREHEAD LIFTThe brow or forehead lift is a rejuvenating surgical procedure aimed at restoring a more youthful appearance primarily to the forehead. This operation does not involve the eyelids or remainder of the face. Patients seeking brow lifts usually have sagging brows and forehead skin which can cause the patients’ eyes to look tired and upper lids to look heavy. They also show deeper horizontal wrinkles in the forehead.The brow-lift is primarily designed to restore a more youthful position of the

brow giving it a beautiful arched look. The operation involves the tightening or partial removal of select facial muscles responsible for the drop in brow position.The brow is repositioned at a higher level which opens the eyes and reduces upper eyelid overcrowding. This

EYELID SURGERY The ageing process causes the skin around the eyes to lose elasticity and

present to bulge forward and cause bagginess. Loose folds develop on the upper eyelids, and creases deepen on the lower lids. An eyelid reduction or tightening removes excess skin and fat from around the eyes to create a more wide-awake, younger look. This surgery can be carried out on the upper, lower, or both eyelids.

FACELIFT A facelift is a type of cosmetic surgery used to give a more youthful appearance. A facelift involves the tightening of facial and neck skin tissues, re-orientation of muscles, and repositioning of fat, with re-draping of the skin. A facelift is sometimes performed in conjunction with other facial aesthetic procedures, such as a brow lift, forehead lift, or eyelid surgery. Also, a facelift is a basis for other

OTOPLASTY Otoplasty is a procedure used to reduce large or protruding ears by setting the ears back closer to the head as well as molding, shaping and/or removing cartilage. The operation can be conducted on patients once the ears have reached, or nearly reached, their full size which typically is around 5-6 years of age.Ear surgery can dramatically change a person’s appearance simply by making protruding ears look more normal. Often the problem is caused

by an undeveloped middle fold of the ear. There may be other deformities as well, making it necessary to perform several procedures on the ear at the same time. Otoplasty can reshape the ears, reduce their size, make them more symmetrical, and/or position them closer to the head.

NASAL SURGERY

This operation is indicated in cases where there is laxity of the abdomen resulting in bulging due to abnormal stretching of the abdominal muscles and skin. LIPOSUCTIONLiposuction, also referred to as liposculpture or suction assisted lipectomy, is a technique to remove unwanted fat deposits. The unsightly distribution of body fat is usually due to an inborn tendency to deposit fat in one particular area of the body, most commonly around the hips. Other areas for fat deposits include; the neck, arms, tummy, loins, thighs, inner side of the knees and the ankles.

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

MEDICAL INSURANCEIn general, cosmetic surgery is not covered by health insurance. However your medical insurance may cover the cost in full for certain procedures, if there is medical need for the surgery.

Your insurer will usually specify certain criteria are met, for example, in breast reduction surgery.

SELF PAYERCosmetic or aesthetic surgery in general is not covered by medical insurance. The costs vary depending on the procedure performed and comprise of the surgeon’s fee, the anaesthetist’s fee and the hospital charge. Please be aware that the hospital charge is payable in full on admission. Your surgeon will be able to inform you of the costs of the procedure that you are planning.
