Priority to client success

Our clients success is our success

A client is not a number, it’s a busy person taking the time to try out our product

When we have a doubt, default to client success

We must deliver more than what is expected from us

Money from unhappy customers is dirty money

Page 8: The Heek Culture

Always close together, as a team, with our clients

Communication helps us stay close

If any doubt, we need to ask and share

We don’t hide : we interact with clients as often as possible

We’re not computers or robots

Page 9: The Heek Culture

We think bigger

Apple, Facebook, Instagram had a vision, a big vision

We have a vision, and it’s big too

We expect the best from ourselves

We think bigger, and we have a killer execution plan

Page 10: The Heek Culture

Curious and open-minded

We read books, listen to podcasts, read blogs, learn new skills on areas that are related to our job, on areas that are not.

We learn from the others, teammates, and mostly from clients, and we try really hard to understand what they do and need.

Our only limit is the one we set for ourselves.

Page 11: The Heek Culture

Positivity and happiness

We better stop thinking about work when we leave the office

Best ideas come when we switch off

Priority to positivity unless we have good reasons

Page 12: The Heek Culture

Default to transparency

We share everything together unless it is declared private

No secret, no hidden plan, everything is cristal clear for everybody

No politics

We are quick to admit mistakes, and avoid making the same mistakes again

We seek what’s best for the project and the team, not what’s best for ourselves

Page 13: The Heek Culture

Empowerment and autonomy

We create task forces around specific missions

We all work in autonomy and deliver better than expected

We all need to learn fast and break things

Page 14: The Heek Culture

We are no-ego doers

If we don’t know how to do it, no worries, we can learn from :

- The others- The internet- Podcasts / blogs- Books

We’ve created a list of our sources of inspiration (regularly updated).

Runners are professional managers, we’ll need runners one day, but today we need doers who do it better and better every day.

We don’t take anything personally and are constantly trying to improve ourselves, and our output.

Page 15: The Heek Culture

We do it with passion

We care about Heek’s success

We celebrate wins

Failing is learning and we take advantage of our mistakes

We inspire others, inside and outside the team

The team

Page 17: The Heek Culture

How we work togetherWe create taskforces around specific missions:

- Every team member has one or more tasks that he/she manages (generally between 2 and 4)

- A Taskforce Manager brings the people (stakeholders) he needs in his project

- The manager and the stakeholders give a due date to accomplish their mission

- The manager is the project leader of the taskforce and is in charge of the success of the mission

What tools do we use ?For the team in general, we use Trello, for the dev team we use Jira that helps us better organize.

Page 18: The Heek Culture

The teamWe’re like a team of professionnal sport players :

- Some are passers - Some are scorers- Some are dribblers- Some analyze the replay and take actions- And some are coaches

We’re all part of the same team, and we play to win.
