Music

The music used will be recognised by the audience and the lyrics in the music relates to the plot of the story, this music then changes to more heavy and guitar based music when the day after the bachelor party begins. When something funny happens in the trailer, the music is cut and pauses until the humorous piece is over and then continues which adds to the effect of the humour.

Stars

The film stars well-known actors including Bradley Cooper who starred in Wedding Crashers which was very successful and also in Failure to Launch. Justin Bartha, who also plays one of the men in The Hangover, played alongside Bradley Cooper in Failure to Launch and so fans of that films would be inclined to see them act together again.

Ed Helms also stars in The Hangover and has had roles in Night at the Museum and Evan Almighty.

Plot

The plot appears to be quite exaggerated and contains unrealistic elements such as the tiger being in their hotel room when they wake up.

The plot is conveyed by feature clips from the film and shows just enough to not give all of the film away yet enough to entice an audience.

Editing

The trailer is made up of fast paced cuts between key shots in the film.

A fade in and slow motion is also used when the start of the next day is shown and this represents the daze and the feeling of the characters when they wake up in the morning.

1. The first piece of dialogue, “if you wanna go to Vegas without me that is totally cool” – why are they going to Vegas? Why is he being left behind?

2. When he is standing in his underwear – why?

3. The morning after the bachelor party when a chicken walks in the room – where did it come from and what is it doing there? Why is the man lying on the floor?

4. When the chair is smoking – how did it get like that?

5. When a tiger is in the room – how did it get there and why?
