A Healthy Alternative  Share a ride to the Airport.  Sharing your commute is good for your health. Studies show that solo drivers are more likely to have higher blood pressure and heart rates, lowered body tolerance and even short-term memory loss as a result of the stress and tension of driving in stop-and-go traffic day after day.Travel time is more relaxed. By not having to concentrate on driving in traffic, you are free to read, catch up on work, take a nap, or do absolutely nothing but enjoy the ride!

Why Ride Share?A Ridesharing AlternativeRidesharing can make a difference in reducing traffic congestion. Every carpool can mean from 1-4 fewer cars on the road. Each shuttle has the possibility of removing6-10 cars from the roadway.

Donate to the Colorado Carbon Fund, a state organization set up by our Governor’s office.  Ask each customer if they would like to donate to it to offset their carbon footprint ($.50 for the local airport per person or $1.00 for a Denver – both shared ride).  Have a spot on reservation page to donate.

GO Atlanta Link: (Atlanta, Georgia)Offsetting its annual carbon footprint through Verus Carbon Neutral. The GO Atlanta Link offset the annual emissions of their fleet of vehicles and their administrative office with a Georgia forestry project, managed by Valley Wood Timber.

Verus Carbon Neutral applies a 3-phased approach:They start with an auditing process that defines the annual carbon footprint.Next, they retire, on your behalf, CCX Carbon Offsets that match your carbon footprint.Finally, they provide the tools needed to publicize your status as a Carbon Neutral organization.

GO Lorries Airport Shuttle: (San Francisco, Bay Area, California)Working with SFO Airport Staff to convert 25% of our fleet to compressed natural gas by May 31, 2010 with the goal of achieving 100% of our fleet using CNG or equivalent by 2013.

GO Showtime Tours: (Las Vegas, Nevada)Only fleet in town that operates on clean burning (soy based) bio-diesel fuel. Their 24-hour full service maintenance shop/office recycles paper, oil, filters, glass, scrap metal, tires, coolant and refrigerants.

GO Continental Airport Express: (Chicago, Illinois)Implementing no idling policy which has reduced fuel consumption by 10% from ’07-‘08. Implementing plan to donate a percentage of revenue to purchase rainforests.

GO Toronto Airport Express:(Toronto, Canada)Reducing idle time, reducing maximum highway speed. EnviroTrans is their Environmental Management System which helps manage the impact of daily activities that affect the environment.

-They focus on environmentally safe products using simple things such as biodegradable soap when cleaning their vehicles. -They focus on recycling and reusing. Have a coolant recycling station that minimizes spillage when working with glycol. The station also permits us to reuse existing antifreeze/ coolant reducing the amount of new product consumption.

-Used engine oil is to be collected and stored on site, and when needed, this will be transported off-site by a licensed carrier to be recycled and reused. - A scrap metal bin is placed on-site at the Ordan Facility, for the collection of all metals that are recyclable. They are then transported off-site when needed by a sub-contractor.

GO Airport Shuttle Fort Lauderdale: (Fort Lauderdale, Florida)The GO Airport Shuttle Fort Lauderdale operates a fleet on vans and Town Cars. When a passenger exits the airport it is determined what the best transportation opportunity is.

Often with two or three passengers going to the same destination or area they will be transported as a shared ride in the Town Car fleet at the shared ride price to utilize the lower emission vehicle while enhancing the customer experience.GO Airport Shuttle in Fort Lauderdale is moving to a paperless office with needed documents scanned. Documents scanned are then recycled. A pine tree yields about 805 pounds of paper. A ream of copy paper is approximately 6 pounds. For a month period they save 4.7 trees per month.
