Eros (Cupid) is not only Aphrodite’s son but he is also the god of love.

Aphrodite is know for marrying an ugly god, Hephaestus Cupid kind of followed his mother’s footsteps. He fell in love

with Psyche, a mortal princess. Aphrodite hated her for her beauty. Aphrodite had Eros persuade Psyche to fall in love with a monster (but it was actually Eros). Psyche believed him to be very ugly. Psyche only saw him at night, because Eros kept her hidden away from everyone else. Psyche's was curious and she looked at Eros with a candle while he was sleeping . Eros was so mad that he left her. He knew that he loved her to much though. So he begged Zeus to change her to an immortal, and they were married.
