Page 2: The Gospel

Have you come to the place in your spiritual

life where you know for certain that if you died today you would go to

heaven?

Page 3: The Gospel

Suppose you did die and stood before God

and He said, “Why should I let you into

heaven?” what would you say?

Page 4: The Gospel

Would you consider yourself

to be a good person?

Page 5: The Gospel

Page 17: The Gospel

The Bible says, “Anyone who

hates his brother is a MURDERER.”

Page 18: The Gospel

"You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.' But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, … anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.- Matthew

5:21,22

Page 19: The Gospel

What does that make you?

Page 20: The Gospel

By your own ADMISSION, you are a liar, a thief, an adulterer and a murderer at heart.

Page 21: The Gospel

If God were to judge you by the Ten

Commandments, do you think you would

be innocent or guilty?

Page 22: The Gospel

Do you think you would go to heaven

or hell?

Page 23: The Gospel

God is just therefore He must

punish sinners.

Page 24: The Gospel

• A righteous judge will not just forgive

Page 25: The Gospel

Does that CONCERN you?

Page 26: The Gospel

But here’s the Good

News!

Page 27: The Gospel

God provided for you to be forgiven.

Page 28: The Gospel

God sent His Son Jesus Christ to take

the sinners’ place and die for them.

Page 29: The Gospel

What is God’s REQUIREMENT to be reconciled to an offended God?

Page 40: The Gospel

Not by trying

one’s best

Page 41: The Gospel

For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.

~James 2:10

Page 42: The Gospel

Not by being good

or religious

Page 43: The Gospel

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.

~Ephesians 2:8-9

Page 44: The Gospel

“Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.”

~Acts 16:30,31

I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.

~Acts 20:21

Repentanceand

Faith

Page 47: The Gospel

What is repentance?“True and godly repentance includes a deep

remorse for having offended God. The repentant person openly and fully confesses his sin with no attempt to excuse it or justify it. This acknowledgement of sin is coupled with a willingness to make restitution whenever possible and a resolve to turn away from sin.”

- R.C. Sproul

Page 48: The Gospel

What is faith?

• Not mere head knowledge or assent

• Not temporal faith

• Faith is trusting in Christ alone to be reconciled to the offended God

Page 49: The Gospel

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder.

~James 2:19
