What does it mean to be “Gospel-Driven” 何謂「以福音為導向」？

1. A gospel-driven life sees every situation as an opportunity to advance the gospel. 以福音為導向的人生看每個情況為興旺福音的機會 (Philippians 腓立比書 1:12-14)

a. Even the worst of situation can be an opportunity to advance the gospel.

即使危機也是興旺福音的機會

b. Even an adversity can become an encouragement to others.

即使苦難也能成為別人的鼓勵

2. A gospel-driven life uses every situation as an opportunity to live out the gospel.以福音為導向的人生用每個情況為活出福音的機會(Philippians 腓立比書 1:15-18)

a. The advancement of the gospel is more important than personal conflicts.

福音的興旺高過個人的恩怨

b. The advancement of the gospel becomes the source of personal joy.

福音的興旺成為個人的喜樂

Paul’s situation when he wrote Philippians 保羅寫腓立比書時的情況

▪ Jerusalem (Acts 21-23): arrest, accusation (false), assassination (attempt)

耶路撒冷 (使徒行傳 21-23)：被捕，誣告，謀殺

▪ Caesarea (Acts 23-25): trial, appeal (to Caesar)

凱撒利亞 (使徒行傳 23-25)：受審，上訴

▪ Rome (Acts 25-28): house arrest, waiting for trial

羅馬 (使徒行傳 25-28)：軟禁，候審

two possible outcomes: guilty (death sentence) or not guilty (set free)

兩個可能的結果：有罪 (判死) 或無罪 (釋放)

1. A Christ-centered life sees every situation as an opportunity to glorify Christ. 以基督為中心的人生看每個情況為榮耀基督的機會 (Philippians 腓立比書 1:19-20)

Yes, and I will rejoice, 19for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance, 20as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death.

• The Christian’s purpose in life is to glorify Christ.

• We need prayer support from each other and the help of the Holy Spirit.

并且还要欢喜； 19因为我知道，这事借着你们的祈祷和耶稣基督之灵的帮助，终必叫我得救。 20照着我所切慕、所盼望的，没有一事叫我羞愧。只要凡事放胆，无论是生是死，总叫基督在我身上照常显大。

• 基督徒人生的目的是榮耀基督

• 需要彼此的代禱和聖靈的幫助

2. A Christ-centered life uses every situation as an opportunity to live as Christ would.以基督為中心的人生用每個情況為活出基督的機會 (Philippians 腓立比書 1:21-26)

21For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. 23I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better.

Win-Win Perspective (Christ-Centered)：

• To live is Christ: witness for Christ, advance the gospel.

• To die is gain: no more toil, be in presence of the Lord.

21因我活着就是基督，我死了就有益处。22但我在肉身活着，若成就我工夫的果子，我就不知道该挑选什么。 23我正在两难之间，情愿离世与基督同在，因为这是好得无比的。

雙贏的人生觀 (以基督為中心)：

• 活著就是基督：作主見證，傳主福音

• 死了就有益處：停止勞苦，與主同在

2. A Christ-centered life uses every situation as an opportunity to live as Christ would.以基督為中心的人生用每個情況為活出基督的機會 (Philippians 腓立比書 1:21-26)

24But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account. 25Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith, 26so that in me you may have ample cause to glory in Christ Jesus, because of my coming to you again.

• The benefit of the church is more important than the convenience of the individual.

• See things and make decisions through what matters to Christ.

24然而，我在肉身活着，为你们更是要紧的。25我既然这样深信，就知道仍要住在世间，且与你们众人同住，使你们在所信的道上又长进又喜乐， 26叫你们在基督耶稣里的欢乐，因我再到你们那里去，就越发加增。

• 教會的益處高過個人的舒適

• 根據主的心腸看事情做決定
