That’s why we will not sell normal booster cushions for older children. We believe they simply aren’t safe enough. Not enough head support. Not enough side impact protection.

BEING A GEEK CAN SOMETIMES BE GOODWe treat industry standards as a minimum. We insist on going further to test our products in the toughest of real life situations.

We punish every pushchair model with mud, sand and potholes.We push strollers through the equivalent of mud and sand for 10 hours. Then it’s pushed over 750km of bumpy potholes. Then its brakes are turned on and off 6,000 times.

We buckle. We unbuckle. And we repeat 14,999 times.We know that parents need total confidence that their child is securely fastened in their car seat throughout every journey. So we reproduce buckling and unbuckling up to 4 times a day for 10 years.

We recreate 3,000 days of moving an ISOFIX seat between cars.We invented ISOFIX back in 1997 in collaboration with Volkswagen. Now the world uses it to set the standard. We test our ISOFIX connectors by simulating 8 years of moving the seat between two cars daily.*

We test a seat. We test it differently. Then we test it again. And again…We will only launch a new seat once we are totally confident in the tiniest of details. For us that means testing in different configurations, as component parts, or as a total seat over 250 times.

We were 40 years ahead of the regulatory bodies.It became compulsory by law to use child car seats across Europe in 2006. But families have been benefiting from our car seats since our first launch back in 1966.

We test and learn with real cars.Approximately 81% of all new cars used at least one of our seats for their 2014 safety testing. These EuroNCAP tests mean that our seats are continually tested in the cars you drive.
