2010 Annual Meetings
2
Colleagues, Welcome to Savannah! We are very pleased to welcome you to the 2010 annual meetings of the Georgia Political Science Association and the Criminal Justice Association of Georgia. Despite enormous economic pressures on our personal and professional budgets, we have a strong turnout for this year's conference. This year we have 40 panels consisting of 202 participants from 19 states and 9 countries. Furthermore, 33 of this year's participants are undergraduate students while 22 are graduate students. We are appreciative of all that you do to advance the body of knowledge in your disciplines, and we are confident that you will find the panels and roundtables to be intellectually stimulating. We are also appreciative of the generous support provided by Cengage Learning, Soomo Publishing, McGraw-Hill, Pearson, W.W. Norton, and University Press of North Georgia. We also wish to thank Ms. Amber Dees from Columbus State University. Without Ms. Dees’ assistance in scheduling the program, answer emails, tracking down information, etc., we would have never been able to pull the program together! Thank you Amber for all that you do! Please join us for the welcome reception Thursday evening at 6pm sponsored by the GPSA. We hope that you find it challenging to choose among the many excellent panels and roundtables over the next three days. We also hope to see you at our meeting next year in Savannah 10-12 November, 2011.
Yours respectfully,
Gregory Domin Peter Fenton Columbus State University Kennesaw State University 2010 GPSA Program Chair
