Membership Terms And Conditions Fees
Form of application of Registration – cum Membership, wherein the product for which the registration required is to be specified (for example, if the applicant is an exporter of diamonds, he should get registered for Diamonds.)
A self certified copy of the IEC number, issued by the licensing authorities concerned.
Bank certificate in support of the applicant's financial soundness.
SSI/IEM certificate in case the registration is sought as Manufacturer Exporter.
A declaration regarding the exports and imports effected during the preceding financial year.
A copy of Memorandum and Articles of Association in the case of companies / partnership deed in the case of partnership firms.

HANDLOOM EXPORT PROMOTION COUNCIL(HEPC) 1. The Handloom Export Promotion Council, registered under the Companies
Act, 1956, was constituted in 1965 by the Government of India as the nodal agency for export promotion efforts related to the cotton handloom textiles sector.
2. The main problem faced by the Handloom Industry in marketing their cotton handloom products abroad is the acute competition from other countries. The Handloom Export Promotion Council has been continuously taking up the problems faced by the handloom exporters with the Government of India other agencies and helping the exporting community to increase their productivity, improve quality, etc.
3. The Handloom Export Promotion Council provides to its members a wide range of services which inter-alia consists: -
Ø Dissemination of trade information & intelligence. Ø Publicity abroad for Indian handloom products. Ø Facilitating product diversification and adaptation to meet modern market
requirements. .

To become an exporter the basic requirement is to obtain an Import-Export License (and get an unique IE code) from the office of the respective Joint Director General of Foreign Trade and register as a member with the respective Export Promotion Council.

Participants :The following agencies will be eligible for participation in these
Expos: i. All levels of Handloom Apex Cooperatives,
Corporations/Federations and Primary Cooperative Societies. ii. Non-Government Organisations engaged in Handlooms and
fulfilling the norms laid by CAPART. iii. Self-Help Groups engaged in handloom production.

Special Expos In order to diversify marketing channels, in addition to National
Handloom Expos, the Office of the DC(Handlooms) will organise Special Expos.
Special Expos will be at national level, regional level and state level. District level Events
Since 1996-97, the office of Development Commissioner (Handloom) has been
promoting marketing of handloom products through established District Level
Events/Fairs/Festivals. In view of their popularity and benefits, this activity will continue in the

Craft MelasOrganizing of craft Mela will be a joint activity of the Offices of the DC
(Handlooms) and DC (Handicrafts). Under this component, Handloom Weavers will be
sponsored for participation in the following Craft Melas; Surajkund at Faridabad
(Haryana) Setting up of Urban Haats The scheme for setting up of Urban Haats was introduced in 1997-98 to set
up permanent marketing infrastructure in prime locations in the country to provide
marketing outlets to the handloom weavers/craftspersons on the pattern of Dilli Haat.
