There are both big decisions and little details to attend to as you prepare for your upcoming catered event. Let LSU Catering guide you, from designing the perfect menu to personalizing all the details of your unique gathering. Our catering services can accommodate any size, theme, or individual requirements, in virtually any location – on or off campus.
We will work with you to create a custom gathering menu inspired by your unique needs that will leave a lasting impression on your guests. All menus will follow the LSU Catering culinary philosophy; authentic recipes using the freshest, seasonal ingredients.

Plan Your Event
The Gathering
Policies & ProceduresTo ensure optimal selection and the best possible service we kindly ask that events be booked at least seven business days in advance. We understand events arise unexpectedly and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Guest CountsWe kindly request a confirmed number of guests be specified three business days prior to the event. This number is considered the guaranteed guest count.
Event TimeEvents are billed in three-hour increments. Events exceeding the three-hour limit will be subject to additional service fees.
CancellationWe kindly request that cancellations be made three business days prior to the contracted event date.
Service-ware and ChinaAll disposable service-ware will be furnished as accompaniment to all items purchased. Some exceptions apply to orders being picked up. We provide high quality disposable plastic ware. Clear plastic ware is available for an additional charge of $2.00 per person held inside and outside of the Student Union. China and glassware is available for an additional charge of $3.00 per person held outside of the Student Union. Events held inside the Student Union will not incur china fees.
LinenTablecloths are supplied for all food and beverage service tables at events. Tablecloths for non food tables are
available for an additional $10.00 per table.
Tax ExemptWe request tax-exempt forms be e-mailed to the LSU Catering office three business days prior to the event. [email protected]
Water SetupPitchers of water or large dispensers are available for conferences, lectures and meetings on campus. The charge is $5.00 per gallon, with a minimum charge of $15.00.
Billing & PaymentA form of payment (AS499, Foundation Account, or credit card) is required three business days prior to the event date. We ask that contracts be paid in full within one business day following the event. Checks are acceptable forms of payment but must be paid in full one business day before the event.
Special DietsSpecial diets are accommodated upon request. We kindly request that your needs be submitted as soon as possible.
Meeting Room and EquipmentPlease reserve all non-food related equipment by contacting Event Management, Auxiliary Services at 225-578-8966. This will include room reservation, set and room configuration, audio visual and other general information.
