From undergraduate and community college students to faculty, we offer programs that INSPIRE minds about scientific discovery. Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) – Our SULI internships support the advancement of undergraduates pursuing careers and graduate work in science and engineering. Visiting Faculty Program (VFP) –Ames Laboratory researchers are paired on research projects with faculty members and their students from institutions historically underrepresented in the research community. Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) – Outstanding graduate students receive supplemental awards to support their graduate thesis research opportunities. National Science Bowl (NSB) – Over 5,000 high-school and middle-school students from some 200 Iowa schools have competed in our annual Science Bowl since 1991.
