II. Translate the story in Telugu. A milkmaid was walking along the path to the market, balancing a pail of milk on her head. She planned to sell her milk at the market that day. Since it was a Sunday, there would be many people from the village at the market, and the maid was sure she would get a good price. As she walked blithely along, she began to daydream….. “With the money, I get for this milk,” she thought to herself, “I will buy a hundred fresh eggs. If I take care of the eggs well, they will hatch into a hundred fat chickens. By the time the eggs hatch, if will be the right time of ;year to sell chickens, and I will get a good price for mine. When my chickens are all sold my purse will be full of money, and I will be able to buy myself a lovely gown. I will buy it from the next village . the dress maker there is so much better than the one in our village. And what colour shall if be? Red perhaps; mother says that red suits me best. On the other hand, blue might go better with the colour of my eyes.” Never mind about the colour. I can always decide that later. The dress will be so beautiful that all the young men in the village will fall in love with me, and will want to marry me. Wherever I go, they will take off their hats to me and bow down low. But I shan’t so much as look their way. I will simply toss my head and walk away….” And the silly girl was so carried away that she actually tossed her pretty head at her imaginary admires. “CRASH!” went the pail and the milk spilt everywhere, little whit rivulets of it. “ Oh no!” cried the maid, and sat down beside the path, feeling as foolish as could be. All her dreams had vanished in an instant. “Next time,” said the maid sadly to herself, “I won’t count my chickens until they hatch. Word Meanings:-
