Miss Edith McCwmick, who died suddenly December 20th. Mrs. John Ackerson died of double pneumonia on the 19th of December, after only a few days' illness. Mr. Erickson, father of Bert Erlckson. hostler, died at the home of his dsugh- ter about six miles southeast of Monett, on the 5th of January. Mr. Erickson was 84 years old. Mr. Duffy and Mr. Pearman won the attendance prizes, and appointive offices were filled a t this meet- ing by our newly elected president. J. S. Abbott. who presided over the meet- lng.

Virgil Light was called to Batesville. Ark., on account of the sudden death of his mother, Mrs. J. L. Hall, who died while undergoing a n operation for ap- pendicitis. Interment was made a t Sa- lem, Ark., on January 6th.

Mrs. L. N. Woods was called to Mor- rislown, Ga.. January 5th, on account of the death of a n uncle and the illness of other relatives. She visited home folks while there and reports the sick folks as doing better. -

Clarence "Bozo" Mueller's foot slipped while drivlng the shop mule and the ma- chine ran Into a drop pit. However, Clarence was only shaken up a bit and the mule only slightly damaged a s a re- sult of the event.

Mr. and Mrs. John Snarr and family went to Cleremont. Fla., to vlslt relatives. and their son. Wesley. spcnt the month a t Pensacola, Fla.. sight-seeing and en- joying thc fine summer weather there.

COY, Milton and Mrs. J. N . Barnett, and thelr families, have morrd to a fa rm and chicken ranch southwest of here. Milton says tha t "Old Man Depression" may have him down now, but If he can only sell the cggs a s fas t a s tho white Ieghorns lay them. h e will beat the "Old Man" yet.
