The National League is responsible for operating annual football league competitions for the fifth and sixth tiers of English football on behalf of its 68 member clubs: Vanarama National League, Vanarama National League North and Vanarama National League South. Head of Player Development The National League requires a member of staff to lead the creation and implementation of a Home-Grown Player development strategy. The successful applicant will establish relationships with key stakeholders (including The FA, Clubs, Leagues, professional associations, learning providers etc) and develop a new structure to enable National League Clubs to develop more and better Home Grown Players. Based at: The National League Head Office, 4 th Floor, Waterloo House, 20 Waterloo Street, Birmingham, B2 5TB. Contract: Full Time (35 hours) permanent position, subject to a probationary period. Remuneration: Salary and pension contribution (details available on request). Job duties to include: Research, publish and advocate a home-grown player development strategy for the National League. Establish a strategic relationship with key stakeholders to ensure sustainability and investment Design and develop a rules framework with minimum operating standards for player development. Develop a new intermediate games programme for member Clubs. Review and develop player registrations and training compensation. Establish a licensing and monitoring system for member Clubs. A detailed understanding and previous experience of working in a player development environment is required as is a current UEFA ‘A’ coaching certificate. Proficient user knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Outlook, Excel and Word is desirable.

Head of Player Development
