apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors, and teachers.

These leadership positions are called to individuals by God

Himself for the edification of the Body of Christ.

And Paul urged and urges the Christian community to be worthy

of this vocation and not take it likely.

1I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk

worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

(Ephesians 4:1)

2With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing

one another in love; (Ephesians 4:2)

Love is a reoccurring theme within the message of Jesus Christ.

Without love our work would be in vain.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ always wants us to remember our brothers and sisters

in all that we do.

Loving them just as we would love ourselves.

This is a key component to the success of the building the Body of Christ.

3Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Ephesians

4:3)

Another key to the success of the edification of the Body of Christ is the bond of

peace.

It is important for us to live and interact in love and peace.

Division, confusion, disagreements are distractions from the enemy.

Those diversions keep us stagnant as God’s people.

 4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

(Ephesians 4:4)

It is like the Three Musketeers motto, “all for one, one for all.”

5One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6One God and Father of

all, who is above all, and through all,

and in you all.(Ephesians 4:5-6)

It is only by one God who is the father of all nations and all people that we

are unified.

. It is the recognition and presence

of God Himself that holds the church together.

We are not a complete family with our Father as the head of the

household.

7But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the

gift of Christ.(Ephesians 4:7)

Because God knows that we are not perfect, He has provided us with grace in-order to

fulfill our calling/gifting.

It would be impossible to teach, preach, and prophesy perfectly like Christ. So He fills in

our gap of imperfection with His grace.
