Transcript of The first law of motion states that n object at rest will remain at rest and an object in motion...
The first law of motion states that n object at rest will remain at rest and an
object in motion will remain in motion unless acted on by an outside
force.
• First, any object at rest will not move unless some force acts on it.
• Second, any moving object will continue to move in the same direction, at the same speed, unless a force acts on the object to change its speed or direction.
-Inertia- the tendency of an object an object in motion to remain in at rest to remain at rest, or of motion.
-Inertia is the tendency of an object to resist any change in its motion.
Ex.-When a car stops, your body that was
moving stop also if your wearing a seat-belt. If you’re not wearing a seat-belt you would move or fly out the window.
-When a car goes faster (accelerates), your body resist moving forward, being put in motion. The more big an object is, the greater its inertia.
