Sporadic cases have been reported in Canada since 1970s
1977: 13 year old girl in Ontario with EM and arthritis (CDWR 1988 14-22: 95- 97)
1979: biologist at Long Point Ontario with arthritis and subsequent positive serology (Artsob 2010 Purple Paper)
1983: 8 year old in Alberta with EM rash (CMAJ 1986 134 (1): 48-49)
1984: French tourist in Quebec with EM after insect bite ( Zbl. Bakt. Hyg. A 1986 263: 488-490)
