OVERVIEW

• Build a motion game controller to play the Trackmania game for a user with very, very shaky hands

• Use of a 3-axis accelerometer(ADXL345) and 2 buttons

• Week 2 project software reused for this project but slightly modified to suit the new concieved plan

• To build this special type controller for shaky hands (five ideas were concieved)

• Finally the concept was having accelerator/decelerator as foot pedal and directional control done by chest movement sideways

DESIGNING• Came up with the

idea to use polystyrene as the main material for 1 pedal and aliuminium foil for another. We place Accelerometter on the chest using a belt.

IMPLEMENTATION

OPERATING

• Using a potentiometer to accelerate and de-accelerate

• Write the code for the ADC Conversion

• The final implementation used two buttons instead of the potentiometer

• Accelerometer on the chest

• Video of the contoller in action
