The Evolution of Tech

With home automation, smart security, integrated A/V systems, and DIY products becoming more and more popular, the need for professional integrators will continue to increase. However the crossover of traditionally separate industries will require new skills and tactics to remain competitive.

New for 2018 We are excited to be celebrating the 10 Year Anniversary of the Technology & Business Summit. Our Exhibitors, Reps, Dealers and Industry Associates are what makes the event special and we are continually working to create differentiators, add improvements, and build more value.

The industry evolves, the Tech Summit evolves… introducing…

THE CASTLE SUMMIT Converging Audio/Video, Security, Technology, Lighting, & Entertainment

The convergence of technology continues to gain momentum. Regardless if your business, or a dealer’s core business, is Residential or Commercial A/V, Control, Networking, IoT, Security, Lighting or a combination, the channels have more crossover than ever.

The first Castle Summit will be held in the Florida market and take the place of the Florida Tech Summit for 2018. It will be a two-day event in one location and counts as two dates.

Integrator Network, the organization that runs the Tech Summit and Castle Summit is investing in significant outreach and marketing to drive traffic. This pertains to traditional AV dealers, but also to the dealers, reps and manufacturers in the Security, Lighting and Commercial AV channels. This will drive NEW business to the event. Dealers from other channels will learn about Residential AV and the traditional Residential dealers will learn more about complimentary ways that they can grow their business. We are adamant about helping dealers build their business and the emergence of more DIY creates challenges and opportunities. IoT products will also continue to grow and our dealers need to stay ahead of the curve in order to thrive.

We will continue to feature lines that utilize manufacturer reps, and keep the one on one atmosphere. We will also open the event to other exhibitors in order to help grow attendance and add value the event overall. Our reach will extend outside the South Florida market and we expect dealers from neighboring areas within Florida, states that are near Florida, and even dealers from Latin and South America since we will market to those areas as well.

Resource Newsletter & Marketing Package

Like the event itself, our marketing to help drive business is evolving.

The Tech Summit and Castle Summit are once a year in the respective territories. We are going to help exhibitors and reps build business all year. The industry does not need another “news” letter so we are introducing something a bit different call The Insider. Some highlights:

• ALL YEAR MARKETING BONUS.• You will receive significant exposure to our vetted 20,000+ (and growing) dealer database nationwide.• It will focus on featuring manufacturers & service providers, not just products.• Components that you will describe to reader are:

Who are we? Why should I care? Featured product, technology or service with a call to action to learn more.

• The manufacturer info will link to a private landing page, which will feature the manufacturer special, call to action, etc.• It will tie into reps as well.• This vibrant collection of industry buyers are engaged with the Tech Summit events and we often exceed 25%, even

35% open rates.• The idea is to develop a deeper relationship between the integrator, company and rep.• Your logo will appear in every resource newsletter in this series. To begin they will be sent twice a month so your

company will have exposure multiple times throughout the year.• The price for this is $1,995 for the year.• However, it is INCLUDED in the event fees if you participate in ALL of the Tech Summit events

and the Castle Summit.• There will also be an opportunity to feature your company in one or more of the newsletters at a discounted price. There

is a separate document for this program with pricing, specs and other details coming soon.

PRICING – PIPE AND DRAPE This is for projector and screen manufacturers that choose to participate in this area. If you are NOT participating in the low light

area, you can skip this section. We rent pipe and drape and make “rooms” on or near the exhibit floor that are approximately 10w x18d. Maximum screen size is 120" diagonal. (10 feet wide physically) Screen needs to be on a stand and nothing can be hung on walls. Area is low light, typically not a separate room, (depending on venue). There is some light bleed through from the show floor. This area is in lieu of an area on the show floor. Normal table fees apply plus the pipe and drape fee. The rooms are meant to be shared with one projector and one screen manufacturer. We help pair the manufacturers

and rooms may be shared with companies from different rep firms. The pipe and drape “room” is $500. The fee each manufacturer is an additional $250 per event day. ($500 for a two-date event)

we can’t have too many for obvious reasons), furniture, etc. Space is limited. First come, first served and 1 per rep firm unless we have more space. If interested, please coordinate with

your rep and Integrator Network ASAP. The fee is an additional $295 per manufacturer per event day. ($590 for a two-date/city event)

Payment of Fees: Fees are to be paid according to the specifics on this agreement above.

Integrator Network reserves the right to restrict participation and/or delivery of freight at the Exhibit Facility until final payment has been received without Integrator Network or its contractors incurring any liability whatsoever. Integrator Network may accept late payments, partial payments, or any checks or money orders marked as being payment in full or as being a settlement of any dispute without losing any of its rights under this Contract or under the law. Accepting such payments does not mean Integrator Network has changed this Contract in any way. Exhibitors who submit payments that are returned unpaid by their banks will be charged $50 and placed on a cash basis.

If the Exhibitor contracts within 30 days of event, 100% payment is due at time of agreement signing. If the Exhibitor fails to pay any of the installments as outlined in this Section or is otherwise in material breach of this Contract, Integrator Network shall reserve the following rights, in addition to any other rights Integrator Network may have at law or in equity: 1. Integrator Network may cancel the Exhibitor’s participation and/or release the contracted Exhibit Space and is free to provide the Exhibit Space to other exhibitors. 2. Any Exhibition Fees paid shall be retained by Integrator Network as liquidated damages. 3. Any outstanding payments are due and payable in consideration for Integrator Network having reserved the Exhibit Space and providing services to the Exhibitor until the date the Exhibit Space is canceled. 3. Occupancy Required: Actual occupancy of the Exhibit Space is of the essence hereof. If the Exhibitor does not occupy the Exhibit Space by 7:00 AM, the morning of each event day, Integrator Network may occupy or cause the Exhibit Space to be occupied as it may deem best in the interest of Integrator Network without in any way releasing the Exhibitor from any liability hereunder. 4. Cancellation or Change by Integrator Network: The Exhibit Space may be canceled by Integrator Network for failure to pay balance when due or as a result of any other material breach of this Contract. In the event the Exhibit Space is canceled by Integrator Network; all amounts due by the Exhibitor under this Contract shall be immediately paid to Integrator Network. In addition, Integrator Network shall be entitled to retain all prior payments received, and Integrator Network may lease such canceled Exhibit Space to another exhibitor at its sole discretion. The Exhibitor agrees that such default fees are a liquidated damage and not a penalty. If any event or portion of event is cancelled for any reason, Integrator Network liability only extends to refund of actual fees paid to Integrator Network by Exhibitor for that event or portion. Integrator Network will make best efforts to provide notice of 45 days or more before the planned event date if an event is to be cancelled. Cancellation of one or more events does not affect other events or Exhibitor liability that may be within this agreement. If cancellation alters tiered pricing, Integrator Network will honor the tiered pricing earned before cancellation. If Integrator Network needs to change the venue and/or date of any event, Integrator Network make their best effort to advise Exhibitor no later than 90 days before the scheduled event date. Integrator Network suggests that hotel reservations and travel plans made before 90 days prior to the event have a cancellation without penalty component. 5. Downsizing: All downsizing requests are reviewed on a case by case basis and shall become effective when and if approved by Integrator Network. 6. Liquidated Damages: Exhibitor acknowledges that Integrator Network will sustain substantial losses if Exhibitor cancels, downsizes, or defaults in its performance hereunder. Even though Integrator Network will exercise its best efforts to provide the canceled, defaulted, or unused space and its service to others, Integrator Network and the Exhibitor agree that Integrator Network will nevertheless incur substantial losses that cannot be previously determined. Due to the difficulty of determining and detailing said losses, the Exhibitor agrees to pay all cancellation, downsize and default fees owed under this Contract as liquidated damages (and not as a penalty) if the Exhibitor cancels, downsizes, or defaults under this Contract and all such fees shall be fully earned and are agreed to be a fair and reasonable estimate of Integrator Network’s damages liquidated herein at the time of contracting and to constitute liquidated damages (and not a penalty) due in consideration for expenses incurred by Integrator Network and in consideration for Integrator Network having reserved t he E xh i b i t Space and provided services to the Exhibitor until the date of cancellation, downsizing or default, thereby losing or deferring the opportunity to provide the Exhibit Space and its service to others. 7. Default In the event Exhibitor does not meet all its financial obligations upon each installment and as due hereunder or is otherwise in material breach of this Contract, Exhibitor will be responsible for all outstanding amounts owed under this Contract, interest at fifteen percent (15%) per annum on each unpaid sum, and all attorneys’ fees and/or collection fees that Integrator Network incurs related to or arising out of the breach by Exhibitor and/or the recovery of the amounts owed by Exhibitor. Interest will be incurred on any balance as of 30 days before each event, unless a prior payment plan has been arranged in writing with Integrator Network. If the above interest amount, attorney’s fees and/or collection fees, and returned check fees exceed the limits allowed by applicable laws, then the maximum interest and such fees as allowed by such laws shall be paid to Integrator Network by the Exhibitor.

If a dispute or disagreement shall arise between the parties concerning the allotment of permitted use of the Exhibit Space or concerning the interpretation of any of such rules and regulations, Integrator Network’s decision and interpretation shall be final, and the Exhibitor hereby agrees to abide by said interpretation which, if requested, shall be in writing. Exhibitor/Attendee/Company shall defend, indemnify and hold Integrator Network, its officers, officials, employees and volunteers harmless from any and all claims, injuries, damages, losses or suits including attorney fees, arising out of or resulting from the acts, errors or omissions of Integrator Network’s performance of this Agreement. 10. Force Majeure: It is further agreed that in case the Exhibit Facility shall be destroyed by fire or the elements, or by any other cause, or in case of Government intervention or regulation, military activity, strikes, or any other circumstances shall make it impossible, illegal or otherwise inadvisable for Integrator Network or the Exhibit Facility to hold the Show or portion thereof at the time and place herein provided, then and thereupon this Contract shall terminate and the Exhibitor shall and does hereby waive any claim for property or other damages or compensation due to cancellation or postponement of the Show under this Section. 11. Integrator Network reserves the right to order withdrawn from display any items which, in its opinion, do not comply with these requirements. Integrator Network further reserves the right at any time to reallocate space in the interest of a better showing of exhibits or for any other reason determined in Integrator Network’s sole discretion. 12. Operations of Exhibits: The Exhibit Space must be designed, constructed and operated in a manner that respects the rights of other exhibitors and visitors. Integrator Network reserves the right to prohibit promotional plans found objectionable. The Exhibit Space must be staffed at all times during scheduled exhibit hours. The Exhibitor is responsible for payment of fees, royalties or fines for use of work that is protected by copyright, patent, trade secret or trademark, and Exhibitor agrees to defend, indemnify and hold Integrator Network and Exhibit Facility harmless from all suits or claims for infringement of copyright, patent, trade secret or trademark rights.
