FurnishingsE&I Cooperative Services is the member-owned, non-profit purchasing cooperative serving the needs of education. As a trusted advisor to the education community, we offer over 125 competitively solic-ited contracts as well as expertise, solutions, and electronic platforms to help you source effectively.
Membership is FREE and the benefits are endless. We handle everything from RFP development to con-tract management, saving you time and money, so your team can focus on other, more strategic priori-ties.
Our field-based Member Relations team is located throughout the country, ready to provide you with localized attention and support. We also align our-selves with business partners who specialize in pro-viding outstanding local attention.
Our portfolio of contracts is backed by the purchas-ing power of more than 5,000 member institutions. Last year alone, our members saved a combined total of more than $200 million by using our con-tracts.
E&I’s Competitive Solicitation Process optimizes the time and cost savings available to members. It has been validated by the National Institute of Govern-mental Purchasing (NIGP) as complying with gener-ally accepted procurement standards.
Members across the country have worked together to develop this process, ensuring an outstanding program that strives to meet compliance require-ments. This means it was developed by members in education, for members in education.

E&I is your cooperative, and your participation of-fers many benefits, including a unique opportunity to share in our overall financial success.
Each year, upon approval of our Board of Directors, we pay out a percentage of our net income as pa-tronage. The amount distributed to each member is based upon that member’s individual contract utili-zation. Many of our suppliers also offer exclusive re-bates and incentives to help you save more.
