•Human beins obtain proteins, fats and glucids from food.•There are three phases in the process

Digestion AbsoptionExpulsion of waste

•The movement of food through the digestive tube is done thank of peristaltic movement.•The reverse peristaltic movement provoqued vomiting.

2.1. Types of digestion

•Mechanical digestion:cutting, curshing, removing, diluting foods and bringing.•Chemical digestion:is done through the action of various substances which attack the foods and bring about chemical changes in them, diving them into substancies which are small.

2.2. Stages of digestion foods

•In the mounth is a result of mastication and salivation.•Saliva produces by saliva glands.•After smallowing, the foods reach the stomach where gastric digestion begins.•In the duodenum continues the chemical digestion of the food.

3.Absorption and the elimination of waste•The chyle passes from the duodenum to the following parts of the small intestine, the jejunum and the ileum.•The absoption consists of the useful substances in the foodcrossing through the intestinal wall and into the blood vessels.•The remains of the chyle which cannot be used pass into the large intestine.• In the first part, ascending colon begins to recover water. •The second part is in the transversal colon and the final descending colon which store the faeces.
