Educational Objectives: 1) To provide an overview of the background behind use of lower limb robotics for children with cerebral palsy and the hypothesize link with neuroplasticity; 2) To summarize what we know so far about effectiveness of the Lokomat robotic gait trainer in children with CP; 3) To share our experience in using the Lokomat in our current RCT evaluating of Lokomat versus functional gait-based physiotherapy in children with CP ages 5 to 12 years (lived experience, no results until Spring 2015); 4) To discuss future directions for Lokomat clinical use and research in paediatrics.
