They have razor ribboned barbed wire fences that can be electrically chargedUsually surrounded by concrete walls that stand 20-30 feet high-they also are sunken down into the ground to deter tunnel escapes

The prison walls are studded with watch towers, where the guards are armed with shot guns and riffles and they survey the movement of prisoners below

Inmates lives are dominated by securityWhenever they move from one area of the prison to another they do it in groups, and under the eye of the armed correctional guards.Televised surveillance cameras may be used for the inmates every move (sleeping, showering, or use of the toilet)
