Also, I added two items that would be important to include in this training to applicants about the offset cycle: describe the process a little, and review the form wiith webinar participants since it is has changed from their last experience. I also think this would be a good time to announce some general CPG business like - why is the offset cycle starting late (guidelines say it will begin January 1, 2014; and introduce the grant program name change coming in the next cycle).

YOUR TASK: is identified in your local Solid and/or Hazardous Waste Management Plan

WHO IS ELIGIBLE: to apply for the Offset Cycle Grant?

A local government planning authority or local health jurisdiction may apply directly. A city may be a direct recipient if it is a signatory to the local solid or hazardous waste management plan and has coordinated with the local planning authority.

• Task encourages waste prevention and recycling.

• Task promotes environmental compliance.

• Goal is stated and it is clear on how they plan to achieve their goal.

How do I apply?

The application period opens January 15, 2014 for Offset Cycle grants. An electronic copy of your application must be received by Ecology no later than 5:00 pm on March 14, 2014. Ecology requires a hard copy of the signature page only, with an original signature in blue ink.
