PROGRAMMA

Presso la splendida località di Baveno/Stresa sul Lago Maggiore, si

svolge la Conference “FOOD CONTACT COMPLIANCE”, dedicata ad alcuni dei temi più importanti e di attualità nel contesto della disciplina sui materiali e oggetti a contatto con gli alimenti.

L’evento, a carattere internazionale, vede la partecipazione di esperti

provenienti da diversi paesi. Il contributo dei relatori sarà volto, in modo

prioritario, a definire lo stato dell’arte in tema di ricerca e sviluppo, nuove

applicazioni e aggiornamenti legislativi nel campo del food contact.

La conference si articolerà come segue:

La prima giornata dedicata ai workshop in cui verranno illustrate:

- Procedure per l’autorizzazione di sostanze a livello europeo

- e mondiale;

- Due banche dati utili per conoscere la situazione legislativa;

- Dati di migrazione;

- Dati sulla tossicità delle sostanze utilizzate nei vari materiali a contatto.

Le due giornate successive saranno invece dedicate:

- Evoluzioni legislative in Europa e nel mondo;

- Hot topics;

- Nuovi approcci dell’EFSA sul risk assessment e sulla collaborazione

- con gli Stati membri;

- Differenze con la FDA;

- Nuova Risoluzione del Consiglio d’Europa sui metalli.

and business, Milan is as much gloss and glamour as it is business. In spite of its frenetic urban pace, you can sill appreciate Milan’s rich history and culture by visiting its passionate operas, unique art treasures, delightful churches and museums.

SIGHTS IN MILAN

DUOMO. Dating back to 1300, the Duomo is Milan’s most

outstanding artistic and religious monument. Also the world’s third largest Christian church, this Gothic wonder has one of the best views in the city.

LA SCALA. Since 1778, this famous opera house is dedicated

to Italy’s most celebrated composers and performers. It was here that Rossini made his name, where Verdi premiered most of his works nad Puccini’s “Madame Butterfly” had its first airing.

SANTA MARIA DELLE GRAZIE. A pilgrimage for all

Leonardo Da Vinci’s fans, this church houses Milan’s greatest art treasure – Leonardo da Vinci’s “The last Supper”. The recently restored fresco can be admired on the refectory wall. And unlike most of the church, the refectory miraculously escaped the bombs of World War II.

BE IN VOGUE. Arguably one

of the world’s fashion and design capitals, it’s no surprise that shopping is a religion here. Check out via Montenapoleone and via della Spiga, especially if you are a fashionista.

STRESA Their name derives from the Borromeo family, which started acquiring them in the early 16th century (Isola Madre) and still owns the majority of them (Isola Madre, Bella, San Giovanni)

today.

STRESA AND NEIGHBOROGH

ISOLA BELLA, named for Isabella, countess Borromeo, was

originally a largely barren rock; after first improvements and buildings, opened by count Carlo III between 1629 and 1652, his son Vitaliano the 6th built an attractive summer palace, bringing in vast quantities of soil in order to build up a system of ten terraces for the garden. Isola Madre, the largest of the three, is also noted for its gardens, which are maintained from about 1823 in an English style. Isola dei Pescatori is now the only inhabited island in the archipelago. It has a fishing village, which in 1971 had a population of 208.

THE GIARDINI BOTANICI VILLA TARANTO

(16 hectares) are botanical gardens located on the western shore of Lake Maggiore The gardens were established 1931-1940 by Scotsman Neil McEacharn who bought an existing villa and its neighboring estates. They opened to the public in 1952.Today the gardens contain nearly 20,000 plant varieties, representing more than 3,000 species, set among 7 km of paths. Among its collections are azalea, cornus, greenhouses of Victoria amazonica, and 300 types of dahlias. It also contains a small herbarium and the founder's mausoleum.

Di seguito qualche indicazione per raggiungere l'Hotel situato a

BavenoStresa (VB).

IN AUTOMOBILE

PROVENIENZA SVIZZERA - PASSO DEL SEMPIONE: Vi consigliamo di

proseguire sulla SS33 che diviene poi autostrada A26 e di uscire a

Baveno-Stresa. All'uscita sul lago, imboccare la direzione di destra

fino a Stresa mantenendo il lago sulla propria sinistra.

PROVENIENZA SVIZZERA - SAN BERNARDINO - BELLINZONA - LOCARNO:

Vi consigliamo di costeggiare il lago, mantenendolo sulla sinistra e

percorrendo la SS34 e di seguito la SS33.

PROVENIENZA MILANO - Vi consigliamo di proseguire sulla bretella

che collega l'autostrada A8 Milano-Sesto Calende con l'autostrada

A26 in direzione di Gravellona Toce. Se si esce ad Arona, si

costeggia il lago fino a Stresa (18 Km. circa). Se si esce

Carpugnino, si può raggiungere Stresa percorrendo la panoramica

strada di montagna (4 Km, non accessibile agli autobus) o

proseguire fino all'uscita di Baveno per poi ritornare verso Stresa

costeggiando il lago per 5 Km.

IN AEREO

L’aeroporto di Milano Malpensa è il più vicino. Stresa è poi

raggiungibile in auto, bus, treno. Il servizio taxi è richiedibile al

momento della prenotazione. Dall'aeroporto ci si può anche recare

in autobus alla stazione ferroviaria di Gallarate e da qui prendere il

treno per Stresa (linea Milano-Domodossola).

Inoltre il servizio navetta Alibus su prenotazione collega l'aeroporto

con le principali località del Lago Maggiore. E' possibile anche

noleggiare un auto, raggiungere l'autostrada A8 e seguire poi le

indicazioni più sopra descritte per chi arriva in auto.

IN TRENO

La maggior parte dei treni che transitano sulla linea Milano-

Domodossola ferma a Stresa. Inoltre fermano alla Stazione

Ferroviaria di Stresa, situata nel centro della cittadina, treni da e per

Milano, Torino, Venezia e, attraverso il traforo del Sempione,

Bruxelles, Ginevra e Basilea.
