Pilsen• Pilsen is the fourth biggest city in the Czech Republic.• It is situated in the West of Bohemia.• Four rivers meet there: Úhlava, Úslava, Radbuza and Mže.• The beautiful square is located in the middle of the town.• You can also find Jewish Synagogue there.It is the second biggest synagogue in Europe.• Pilsen is famous all over the world mainly for its beer. The most popular is Pilsner Urquell. Also Škoda products are known across the world.

Horšovský Týn

• Horšovský Týn is a very

small town in the West

of the Czech Republic near

borders with Germany.

• The town has about 5 000

inhabitants.

• The main dominant of this

town is a renaissance castle

with large park in the middle

of the town.

Krkonoše

• Krkonoše is the biggest mountain range in the Czech Republic.• It is situated in the north of the country.• It is a center of skiing, snowboarding and other sports. • The highest mountain in Krkonoše and even in the whole country is called Sněžka and it is 1602 metres high.

Karlovy Vary

Famous musicians

Antonín Dvořák was one of the most famous

classical musicians in the history of our country.

His best-known composition is New World

Symphony. This was the first musical composition

played after landing the moon.

Bedřich Smetana was another famous musician in the Czech Republic. He wrote many operas. His most famous work is called Vltava (It was named after the longest river in the Czech Republic).

• Polka is considered to be our national dance. This dance have to be danced by a couple of man and woman. Usually

• Our tradition meal is dumplings, pork and cabbage.

National drink

• Our national drink is beer. The most favourite and also the best-known beer is Pilsner Urquell.
