Welcome to The CWF VITAmix! This newsletter is our platform for sharing volunteering news, tax tips

and updates, a forum to acknowledge our amazing volunteers, and a way to keep in touch with every-

one who is a part of our community.

TRAINING REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

All regular season trainings are now up on our portal and

available for registration. Please note that additional train-

ings may be added once scheduled. Click below to sign up!

If you are a returning volunteer, tax professional or just

need to refresh your memory on tax law, we encourage you

to access the helpful resources we’ve posted on our web-

site. If you are unable to attend any of the above trainings,

don’t lose hope, we are still working on scheduling addi-

tional trainings at other locations, so please stay tuned!

TAX SEASON OPENS on January 21 for all PA sites, and January 28 for all New Jersey sites. All volunteer shifts will be posted on VolunteerHub on January 15th. Amazingly, tax season will end this year on April 15th!

SINCE OUR FOUNDING in 2003, CWF

has made a major investment in time

and resources to bring considerable

Asset Development services to our

customers. This year, we will be

opening a year round financial well-

ness and resource center at our Phil-

adelphia headquarters (1415 N.

Broad St) and bring the same portfo-

lio of services to some of our busiest

tax sites during the tax season. Eligi-

ble customers may screen and apply

for many public benefits (including

Food Stamps, Medicaid, LIHEAP, etc),

and also apply to receive other quali-

ty financial services through partner

organizations. For customers who

come to our tax sites that do not

offer these services on site, they can

schedule an appointment at their

convenience to receive such services

at our main office in North Philly.

Mobile Tax Team While we will be oper-

ating over 35 tax sites

this year across the re-

gion, not all taxpayers

are able to make it to one of our tax

sites. Therefore, our Mobile Tax Team

performs a vital role by going into com-

munities and neighborhoods to meet

people where they are. If you are inter-

ested in joining our Mobile Tax Team,
