• Cultures play a huge role in every organization.
• This presentation will outline the hierarchy in the FBI, specific roles and as well as the culture, beliefs, values and visions for the organization.
The Culture Metaphor
• “Strong Cultures” have; Values and visions that members hold for an organization.
• “Strong Cultures” have; Heroes who come to exemplify the organization’s values.
• “Strong Cultures” have; Rites and rituals in which an organization celebrates it’s values.
• Finally, “Strong Cultures” have; Cultural values that are instituted and reinforced.
Themes For Excellent Organization
• Excellent organizations; React quickly and do not spend excess time planning and analyzing.
• They gear decisions and actions to the needs of who is being served.
• They encourage employees to take risks in the development of new ideas.
• They encourage positive and respectful relationships among management and employees.

• They have employees and managers who share the same core value of productivity and performance.
• They focus on what they do best and avoid radical diversification.
• They avoid complex structure and divisions of labor.
• Finally, they exhibit both unity of purpose and the need for the diversity necessary for innovation.
