When I started learning the famous K.P. System,one had to do all the calculations of thePlanets,House cusps etc., using the Ephemeris and the Table of Houses,gie the figures in degrees! minutes only."ne had to interpolate figures for intermediate latitudes ans sidereal times

proportionally#etc.$any of us used to calculate these intermediate figures %orre%t to te

With the coming of the 'omputer age,this cra(e %ent further,Planetary positions being

gien upto seconds,one has the feeling that such horoscopes are more accurate than the preious

ones.I hae also been bitten by this bug,and my latest programmes for casting horoscopes,do gie

all these figures upto seconds#.&

In one case,the horoscope of my Son,I found that %ith the accurate programme,a

planet %as placed in the 1thhouse.It %as 2ust 34 seconds behind the 5 thcusp. In practice,it %as

obsered that this planet gae the results of the 5 th,rather than the 1th. On %e%3ing,I +o$n' tat

So,in such a case,the planet,for all purposes of predictions had to be considered as in the 6th.

Thus,a cra(e for greater accuracy,and a blind belief that the horoscope is more accurate can leadto grae errors#&

When I studied this further,I find that the smallest asa of the Sun 65 years7,the

smallest Sub and the sub8sub e*tends oer 9 seconds only../o,$nless one is on te *or'erline,anerror o+ ! -in$te,(ill not %ange e)en te s-allest s$*7s$* lor'&

The asa Periods of a person are determined by the position of the $"":.

Here also,I foundthat the difference my older horoscopes and the latest ones%as ; or ama*imum

of < daysdepending upon the starting dasa...In practical life,this difference of ; or 9 days does not

really matter#&

In conclusion,I %ould recommend,that one should do accurate calculations %iththe best aailable means,but one should not boast or claim that such calculations help to gie

more accurate predictions#&
