The Crave

The music industry has absolutely been craving a hot new British rock band for a while now.

It seems to have gotten a bit stale in the last couple of years with very little emerging talent

– unless the act in question comes from a good old-fashioned bit of reality TV.

Hot new band The Crave is exactly what the doctor ordered.

Brighton based rock band, fronted by Ryan Burnett have been working tirelessly to get to

this point. They have been touring for the last five years and spent all of 2009 playing

nothing but gigs.

Last year alone they did an incredible nine tours including two headliners, and opened up

for the likes of Hot Leg, Shinedown, Buckcherry and Deep Purple and went on to say: “We’ve

had an amazing reaction to our music from fans who didn’t even turn up to see The Crave.

We didn’t have one bad gig all year!”

A group that certainly understands what their fans want – to see them live, not only hear

them over the radio!

The Crave have been in and out of the studio since November 2010 laying down tracks and

making sure they achieve exactly the type of sound they envisage for their debut album.

Ryan Burnett said: “We could have used songs we already knew and loved for the debut

album but we’ve been playing some of them for a long, long time. We wanted the album to

reflect where we are now so most of the stuff which made the final cut was written last

year.”

The Crave describes their sound as, “Good melodic rock. It’s not metal and it’s not pop. But

we like to keep our harmonies going as well as the guitars.” They claim inspiration from

their parents’ record collections, as well as the likes of The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith and

even the rap metal scene.

The Crave’s debut album is available from mid-April 2011 and I think it is safe to say this is a

group of lads who know what they want – and I am pretty sure they’ll get it!
