MEA Scholarship

Eligible students will be attending a MI public

institution for post-secondary school (see application

for exceptions), will be a dependent of MEA

member/retired in good standing, and will graduate

from a school with an MEA bargaining unit. Priority is

for student with Good Community Service, Academic

Achievement, and Extra-Curricular resume. Many

The 7th annual David Barns scholarship will be awarded

to a senior who represents David’s academic

excellence, athletic prowess, and commitment to the

community. $2500 award is renewable for three years.

Lapeer Leader Fund Scholarships! Our generous Leader Fund community partners have

established scholarships for graduating seniors who

have been accepted to college/trade schools for next

year. Minimum GPA’s of 3.0 and essays are required, as

well as recommendation letters, and demonstration of a

high level of academic integrity, character, school and

community leadership. The Leader Fund Scholarships

include:

Baker College, Mott Community College, McLaren

Regional, Sovita Credit Union, View Newspaper, and The

Leader Fund Scholarships. $500-$1000.

Deadlines for each scholarship are March 27, 2020.

Lapeer K of C #1987 Scholarship Graduating Seniors of Lapeer Count may apply for one of 4

$500 scholarships to be awarded. Essay, transcript,

minimum GPA, letter of recommendation, are all required.

Applications are in counseling office and are due by April

8, 2020.

After School Campus Second semester After School Campus will begin the

first week of February 2020. Please talk with your

counselor now to sign up for any classes in which you

are deficient.

NHS Study Groups at LHS! Need help in a class subject? NHS is ready to help

with very small group, peer- led study sessions.

Study groups are underway after school. Check

the board in your class/outside Mrs Wolski’s class

to see times and locations.
