    Thesis

Business is now just a machine with intricate

inner workings keeping it afloat. At every

    process of business nowadays, production,

advertisement, distribution, the whole processhas become a logical, rational, and mechanized

process. Whats worse? Society is perfectly fine

    with following the whole process.

    Dehumanization starts with The Worker

These are the people who do all the manual labor and work that

constitutes an organization or corporation. The masses. The

proletariats. The underlings. The minions. The grunts.

    and evil Obi-Wan Kenobi

The purpose of every corporate or commercial

organization is established in the pursuit of

    money or capital. So

They try to cut costs and increase gains.

Fewer concessions made for the workforce.

Luxuries are sacrificed to maximize profit.

The quality of human life suffers accordingly.

    Dehumanization of the

    Consumer

We are no longer people in the eyes

of the company, we are walking sacksof money.

    Consumer Dehumanization?

Well nowadays companies dont really have

intimate contact to the customer through

the product. Its a make-sell-profit process

    for them now.

    How do you dehumanize them?

Well, one good example is the waiting time

for a service. When you wait for the MUNI

bus around here, sometimes it wont come

for a long time (e.g. I had once waited for a

bus that wouldnt come for ~90 minutes).

Or waiting in a crowded area for food.

    Oligarchy

A future where the lives of many people are controlled by the

rich and powerful. By the companies and CEOs.

InJennifer Government, companies control the world. If a

woman named Jane worked for Nike (for example), then her

name would be Jane Nike. People no longer have strong ties to

    their family.

    Marxian Utopia

The Hegelian Dialectic in Marxs mind goes with a

society that becomes divided into two groups

before reforming into a better society.

Eventually, this ends as communism as everyone

would be unified as well as totally equal.

Of course, this utopia hasnt been achieved in

    reality.

    Hopes for Capitalism

Well, there can be governmental reforms to

ensure safety and equality in workplaces.

However, doing so may destroy the spirit of

capitalism, which is an economic system

    free from governmental influence.
