Dubai Ice Rink is one of the key attractions in The Dubai Mall, serving skaters from all ages and all skill-levels.

With 1500 square meters of ice, the Olympic-size ice rink is the largest and best equipped rink in the UAE.

The state-of-the-art ice rink is one of the most popular sports venues in the city, offering educational and enrichment programs and teaching ice skating to all.

OVERVIEW

ED-U-SKATEIn this stand-alone, progression-based skating class, specialised coaches encourage students to set a large number of short-term goals that are easier to achieve. This class is intended to build the skill-level of children in a safe, stimulating, social environment.

THE EXPERIENCEAfter the group has been met and escorted to Dubai Ice Rink, their journey can begin. Once at Dubai Ice Rink, students are taken to skate hire and have their skates fitted. At the beginni ng of the first session, a booklet is given to students and the different levels are explained. A 20 or 30-minute lesson then follows, with the students divided into groups of 10 (for 3-6 years old) or 20 (7 years and over) skaters per coach.

Once the session is finished, the students are encouraged to practice whilst other skaters are taught. The number of visits for a group should mirror the number of weeks in the school term. The skaters and teachers are all given a booklet at the end of the first session outlining the skater’s goals over the course of the program.

PHYSICS BEHIND ICE SKATINGThis add-on program is complimentary and available upon request. Objective is to introduce students to the fascinating world of sciences behind ice skating. As they learn to navigate on the ice, they also learn the physics that drive every start, stop, and turn.

BACK-OF-HOUSE TOURThis complimentary add-on program invites students behind the scenes to discover the how, where, who, and why of what makes Dubai Ice Rink run.
