Cast Metal Small Sculpture, Jewelry and PocketAmulet/TalismanIn this all hands-on, creative and exciting class you will carvean original design (or choose from a selection of symbolsand imagery) into a cuttlefish bone or to create negativespace. That space is filled with lead-free pewter to create youroriginal metal casting. You pour the metal into your mold, dofinishing work with hand files, power tools and wire brushesand colored inks are optional. Felt Making: Creating Art with FleeceThis series of classes provides a sequential building oftechniques and skills for creating beautiful art using needlefelting. Total Body Training: Kettlebell, Bodyweight, Boxing,and “Yoga Shred Inspired” Fitness (three offerings)This class combines kettlebell, boxing, bodyweight, yoga, andunconventional fitness to be a challenging, and EXTREMELYINTENSE workout. Part of this class is “Yoga Shred -Inspired”. YogaShred moves are yoga inspired asanas set toHIIT forms to create strength and have less impact on thejoints. They are made to strengthen yoga students for themost common - and even more advanced poses. YogaShredworkouts will allow students to gain additional joint and muscleflexibility. YogaShreds are done in Tabata timing, or 4-minuteblocks of 20 seconds of activity, 10 seconds of rest, for8 rounds total.

Beginner Basket Weaving: Garlic BasketWeave a garlic basket to enjoy the bounty of the garden. Suitable forbeginners, in this class you will learn traditional basket weaving techniquessuch as laying out a base, weaving up the sides in a free form twiningtechnique, and a simple braided rim. Each basket will be unique and readyto hang in your kitchen. You will receive materials for 2 baskets so you cangive one as a gift. Even if you don’t grow your own garlic, you will enjoyusing a basket you created with your own hands. Approximate size of basket:3 inches in diameter x 4 inches tall. Class fee includes all materials for twobaskets and use of instructor’s tools.

Toddler/Young Child Reverse Stencil Painting (two offerings)Help your child paint a unique canvas. We will be using differenttechniques to paint a canvas with a customized stencil of yourchoice. Once the canvas is painted, we will then remove thestencil, leaving your child’s artwork and stencil outline on thecanvas for you to enjoy for years to come. You will be takinghome the canvas the same day so please make accommodationsto transport, as paint may still be wet/tacky. The instructor willcontact you prior to the class to discuss the customizable stencilchoices. Examples include: child’s first name, family last name,outline of child’s favorite character, etc. You and your child willwant to bring old clothes or wear aprons, as painting can getmessy.

HODAG FAB LAB COMMUNITY HOURSThe mission of the Hodag Fab Lab is to expose students and theRhinelander community to some of the valuable tools that willallow them to learn and gain a wealth of opportunity. The Fab Labtools are common in today’s manufacturing facilities. Some ofthe tools available include cutters, scanners, printers, replicators,engravers, routers, saws, surfacers, jointers, and sanders. Someexamples of what can be created in the Fab Lab include: signs,benches, plaques, glass engravings, key chains, medals, cribbageboards, and more!
