The code of conduct is very simple and consists of coming prepared, respecting

yourself, respecting others and respecting school property.

Ms. Fussnecker’s Science Classroom Procedures

In this presentation you will find the procedures for the class that keep it running.

It is available to give you an idea of the expectations and a little insight to your

child’s period in science. Use it as a reference, quiz your child or have a

conversation. Please, contact me if you have any questions.

Beginning of Class

• Silently and immediately begin bell ringer

• Be in seat by the time bell rings

• Tardies• Need to be in assigned seat when bell rings

• Will be recorded in six step, parent will be contacted

Ending Class

• The bell does not dismiss

• Remain in assigned seat

• Clean up work area

• Push in stool under work station

Attendance

• Attendance will be taken daily

• If absent, parent will be contacted

Make-up Work

• Shoulder partner• If shoulder partner is absent write name on absent

• Record questions for shoulder partner

• Place shoulder partner work in appropriate folder

• Absent individual• Get work upon returning to complete and submit next class unless

told otherwise

Handing in Work

• Follow directions given by teacher• Appropriate bin in front of the classroom

• Place in middle of work station to be collected

• Name• If student forgets to place name on assignment, assignment will

not be recorded and be recycled

Asking Questions and Class Interruptions

• Raise hand

• Use lab station materials • i.e. pencil sharpener, borrow pencil, etc…

• Restroom• One student at a time

• Must take Fussnecker’s room pass at front of room

Green and Gold Stations

• Isolation stations

• Third step after visual and verbal warning

• Instructed to copy two motivational essays• Choice to rejoin class or participate from station

Homework

• Assigned almost daily

• Have prepared before class begins

• Bring to class to hand in

Coming to Attention

• S - Silent

• O - Orientate

• L – Listen Good listening skills for all social settings

• A - Affirm

• R - Respond
