THE CIA IN THE VATICAN contains over 350 secret documents: cables, corres-pondence, reports, and photographs from the O ce of Strategic Services (OSS) and the CIA which for the very fi rst time reveal un-comfortable Vatican matters that were kept “secret”. Thus, the issues discussed in the book a rm the reality described by a for-mer agent of the papal secret service, known as 'The Entity'. He said: «At the Vatican, everything that is not sacred is secret».
THE CIA IN THE VATICAN clearly demons-trates the involvement of the Holy See in the
internal a airs of countries such as Mexico, Italy, Ireland, Russia, Germany, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Spain, Portugal, Vietnam, Guatemala, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Chile, the United States, South Afri-ca, Argentina, Brazil, El Salvador, Bulgaria, Cuba, Angola, Mozambique, Iraq, Rwanda, Honduras, Timor, Palestine and Iran.
