The Church of Scotland Guild
was founded in 1887 to give women a role in the ministry and mission of the Church
women and men make up the membership of around 26,000
has the aim of inviting people to commit their lives to Christ and enabling them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action
keeps as its motto “Whose we are and Whom we serve”
The Guild...
Has a voice on Church Councils : Church and Society Mission and Discipleship
Is involved in other Church organisations : World Day of Prayer Network of Ecumenical Women in Scotland Ecumenical Forum of European Christian Women Scottish Churches Housing Agency Scottish Bible Society
Is a member of : Engender Scottish Women’s Convention
It is self-supporting, relying on members’ contributions to maintain its national office and the production of a Newsletter, Annual Report and other resources relating to its annual Theme, Discussion Topic and
